太阳炙烤着大地，蝉儿齐声哀叫：“热啊，热啊，热啊……”好像永远不知疲惫似的，天地骤然变成了一个巨大的“蒸笼”。
此刻，我与邻家的妹妹玉涵正在闷热的屋里与邪恶的“音标大军”奋战不止！
我努力地背诵着，记忆着；而玉涵呢，却因为大人不在，就悠闲地坐在椅子上，翘着二郎腿，将身子晃来晃去，很悠哉的样子。我瞥着她晃来晃去的身子，让我感觉是幽灵到了，我终于忍不住了，大喝一声：“够啦，玉涵！你别晃悠了，好不好？”
没想到玉涵却“慈爱”地摸摸我的头，意味深长的.说：“孩儿啊！咱天生聪明，用不着背。你再背下去，脑细胞消耗太快，修复太慢，你会变笨滴！到时候你不认我这个姐妹可咋办哟！”
我有点恼羞成怒，推开玉涵的手：“谁跟你’称兄道弟’了？我才不会跟你同流合污呢！”说完，我又开始奋战了。
玉涵真不识趣啊！一会儿拽我的头发，一会儿抢我的书，更可恶的是她还猛拉我的衣领，差点儿叫我“命丧黄泉”。“天啊！这个丫头是神派来的吗？她想考验我的忍耐限度吗？气吾也！”
但是我仍然默不作声地背书。最后，我终于凭着非凡的忍耐力打败了“音标大军”与玉涵的“魔鬼折磨。我的沉默也使玉涵感到无趣，使她重新做回了”幽灵”，我无语。
妈妈和阿姨回来了！我忙背给她们听，而玉涵则急得抓耳挠腮，抓下了好几缕头发。我背的滚瓜烂熟，而玉涵挨了一顿臭骂，哈哈，我凭着忍耐终于战胜了酷暑、难背的音标和玉涵妹子的捣乱了！真值了！终于可以扬眉吐气啦！
忽然想起一句话：“人生需要而且有必要经历一些坎坷和失败。因为你在经历这些挫折之后，你会发现人生不是常人眼里的那样顺利和风光，也只有经历这些，你潜在的能力才会在困难中被激发出来。”这句话，呵呵，姐赞同！
