It’s a long time no contacting with you since last e-mail. And I miss you so much. Recently I luckily turn to the third officer working on board MV Blue Whale,which is a container ship. I intend to introduce you what Ido on this big vessel in this letter.
I am the third officer working in the deck department. As you know, the third officer is responsible to the master for the proper performance of his assigned bridge watchstanding and navigational duties.
On board, my first daily work is wathckeeping from 8 to 12 and from 20 to 24. my second daily work is in charge of the maintance of the fire-fighting equipment and life-saving equipment. The third , I am also responsible for fire and boat drills, I have to design a muster list and make crew to know the best escape route clearly. 太阳暖烘烘的，鸭妈妈卧在草堆里，等差它的孩子出世。过了几天，鸭妈妈的五个孩子都出世了，它们一摇一摆地到芦苇丛中上学去了。
它们的课程很简单：打扮、游泳和捕食。其中有一只鸭子，它门门科目都是满分，而且还特别的出类拔萃，连续得了好几次“家鸭大赛”的冠军呢！
一年一度的“家鸭大赛”终于又来临了。“家鸭大赛”的项目有选美、游泳和捕鱼。马上就要举行选美了，那只小鸭子毫无准备，看到其他鸭子都把自己打扮得漂漂亮亮的，心想：这可不行，我肯定会输的。它突然想到：要是我在身上涂满胶水再洒点闪光粉，我的`全身就会闪闪发亮，那我肯定会赢的。它正准备涂的时候，一只乌龟看见了，劝道：“别涂，别涂，你的羽毛会结紧的。”小鸭子傲慢地说：“我的事情不要你这个低三下四的乡巴佬管。”乌龟听了，知道小鸭不听劝，便走开了。选美比赛开始了，小鸭子顺利地赢得了冠军，它心想：这次比赛的冠军，我是三个手指拿田螺——十拿九稳了。我还要那个乡巴佬管，看到它那又笨又重的壳就能让人气。
到游泳比赛了，其它的小鸭子如箭一般向湖对岸游了过去，可它刚游不久，就因为刚才身上涂了胶水，羽毛没有了浮力，所以“咕噜咕噜”地沉了下去。幸亏乌龟看到了，它赶紧游过去，把小鸭子救了上来。小鸭子里逃生，结结巴巴地对乌龟说：“谢……谢谢……你……你救了……我。我以……后一定要听……听别人的……劝告了。”
从此，小鸭再也不骄傲。

小袋鼠开开心心地骑着自行车出发了，路边的小花向他微笑，小草向他点头，一只小鸟在天上飞，要和他比赛看谁快。小袋鼠高兴地答应了。他使劲踩呀踩，骑呀骑，不知不觉竟然骑到马路中间去了，马路上没有车，他想：马路多宽呀，骑起来就像在天上飞，多舒服！
这时，小猴正好在路边行走，见小袋鼠在马路中间骑自行车，赶紧叫住他说：“中间太危险了，你快到旁边来。”小袋鼠说：“在中间骑真舒服，我才不呢。”小猴着急了：“万一出了事，怎么办？”小袋鼠不以为然：“现在又没有车，没事的`。”
小猴没办法，只好走了。小袋鼠继续在马路中间骑得飞快。突然，从前方拐弯处开来一辆小汽车，小袋鼠赶紧往旁边拐，与此同时，小汽车内的小熊也赶紧转方向盘，但由于双方速度太快，小汽车撞上了小袋鼠，小袋鼠被撞伤，送进了医院。
在病床上，小袋鼠后悔及了，他对妈妈说：“我不该不听你的话，结果出事了。”妈妈摸着小袋鼠的头，语重心长地说：“交通规则人人遵守，以后你一定要牢记在心。”
从此，小袋鼠不管在哪儿都自觉遵守交通规则。
