As is shown above, a leader father is sitting in the chair with a seal grasping in the hand, and a lot of money beside him. He seriously said to his son that there is more to life than just money -it is power. Simple as the picture is, but a profound truth is reveled in the picture.
I surely disagree with father ’s philosophy. As a leader, he shouldn ’t use his power to make money. It is his duty to serve people wholeheartedly, just one person said “with great power comes great responsibility ”. If he stick to his philosophy. I believe that he will spend the rest of his life in prison. What’s worse, he could affect his son ’s philosophy, guiding him in the opposite direction , nothing can be done to reverse the trend itself. The only solution is to change father ’s philosophy. Because of many greedy officials in China, it is time to reverse the trend itself by establishing new policy. As Chinese always has been our confidence that we can change for the better and better.
In my opinion, there is more to to life than just money -it is happiness, nothing is important than happiness. We can live a colorful life in our spare time.

“困了，让我再睡会儿。”我还在迷迷糊糊中不停地抱怨，母亲已经起身去为我准备早饭了。
直到快七点，我才从床上起来，打理好自己去吃早饭。看到餐桌上已经放好一碗豆浆，凉了许久，已结出一层黏黏的薄膜。喝了一口，没有任何味道，我又开始抱怨起来。妈妈听了也没说什么，只是嘱咐我要带好书包。
刚踏入校门，急促铃声就响了起来。我赶忙跑了起来，心里嘀咕道：“妈妈怎么不早一点喊我起来，这下肯定要被老师批评了。”
果然，到了教室，老师已经上课了。喊了声“报告”，老师的目光看了过来，示意我先进去，下课找她。下课了，我去办公室，向老师解释我迟到的原因。谁料，还没说完，老师就打断了我：“迟到的原因你应该从你自己身上找，而不是一味地推脱责任。你早已是初中生了，本来就应该做到自己起床，而不是让你妈妈叫你，何况我们抓迟到的本意也不是要骂你们一顿批评你们一通，而是让你们注意在不迟到中学会自律守纪。所以，你要多从自己身上找问题，多想想他人。”
老师这一提点，我想起自己从小都是过着衣来伸手饭来张口的日子，家里每个人都是围着我转，久而久之或许是习惯了，我开始把这一切当成理所当然，认为他们所做的'一切都是应该的，不懂得感恩，不懂得回报，只是一味索取；稍有些不顺心，就把责任全部往外推人，把别人当作自己的出气对象。如果我多为别人考虑一点，是不是又会不一样呢？
答案是肯定的，我想，如果我多懂事一点，早一点明白这些道理，多为妈妈考虑一点，那她脸上的皱纹会不会少一点？她活得会不会轻松一些？她的内心也不会那么寒凉了吧？母亲对我的爱胜过他人，每天起早贪黑任劳任怨的给我打理生活，对我有求必应，基本没有说过一个“不”字，可我又是怎么回报她的呢？
也许她心里的苦楚她最明白，我却没有为她分担多少。现在我长大了，是应该多替她想想了。

I am afraid that you will think me unpardonably negligent in not having answered your letter dated 7, December sooner, but when I have told you the reason, I trust you will be convinced that the neglect was excusable. When your letter arrived, I was just in Hong Kong. As my family could not forward it to me during my absence, it has been, therefore, lying on my desk until the moment when I took it up. Now the first thing I have to hasten to do is to write to you these few lines to express my deep regret.
I enjoyed many pleasant sights during my trip. I shall be pleased to give you an account to of them when I see you next.
