“光阴似箭,日月如梭。”改革开放xx年来，中国从落后慢慢走向了繁荣和富裕，这也包括我的故乡——广西。
记得20多年前，这里曾是一片荒凉的土地，没有像现在的高楼大厦，人形天桥、绿树红花，到处都是瓦房，医院也没有一个像样的。稍微富点的人家就有一台黑白电视机，只能接收几个频道。街道很窄，道路不是水泥路，而是一些泥土路。等雨一来，道路就变得很泥泞，人踩上去，就像被胶水粘住了似的，用力提起来才能挣脱开。这时，鞋子上就会沾满泥土，而路却要好几天才能干完。环境卫生也很差，街上堆满了垃圾，还有生畜的粪便。
随着经济的发展，人们的生活越来越富裕，广西越来越美丽了。
一幢幢高楼大厦拔地而起，一条条宽阔平坦的高速公路通向四面八方，一个个住宅小区建设得幽雅迷人。更令人欣喜的是，城市的环境卫生也逐渐变好了，人们不再忍心在整洁的街道上丢垃圾，清洁工人每天都来扫一扫，人们都夸他们是“城市的小小美容师”。人们在抓城市建设的同时，也没有忘记绿化的建设。街道两旁，绿树成阴，鲜花盛开，街边公园到处都是。
南宁是广西的首府，也是一座繁荣的城市。走在南宁街头，两边的商铺一家接着一家，大商场一个又一个，里面的商品琳琅满目，令人目不暇接。最繁荣的地段是百货大楼这一带。我每次跟着妈妈来到南宁百货大楼，商场里都是人山人海的。满怀喜悦的人们，已经富裕的人们，在痛快地购物呢。
啊！愿家乡越变越美好。
