迟到回家的小米看见父母生气的样子似乎已知大事不妙，便立即行好，谁知，父母一气之下将小米取消了自律生活，继续被动生活，小米却一直进行着自律生活。
期末前，小米的父亲生病，妈妈被迫去医院照顾爸爸，姑姑来到小米家照看小米，小米趁着这个机会想好好表现自己。她的愿望成真了。她期末考了一个好成绩，爸妈也出院了，这让小米兴奋不已。

读了这本书，我明白了自己只要有坚持、有计划，就能把事做成，大家都要学会自律，不要依赖父母。我们要自己学习，自己思考，尊重父母，也就是自立、自强的表现，不让父母操心，用心做好每一件事，上课不做与上课无关的事，认真听讲，平时多看看书，少玩会儿电脑，少看会儿电视，这样，不去补习班也可以取得好成绩。
