英语作文小男孩写信【一】
“卖冰糕喽！５角钱一个！还有花生冰淇淋、玉米冰淇淋……”大街传来带着稚气的叫买声我一下来精神了，从衣袋里掏出５角钱就往外跑。
来到大街上，我愣住了，一个大概１０岁的和我同龄的男孩吃力推着冰糕车，身子歪歪扭扭地向前走，汗水粘着额前的头发，然后从那被太阳晒得黝黑的脸上往下流，渗透了汗的短衬衣贴在他瘦小的身子上。我油然而生一种怜悯感，手不由自主地把５角钱放回衣袋，又掏出五元的钞票递给他：“朋友，我买一根冰糕。”他接过钱，赶紧揭开箱子拿了一个给我，然后他翻自己衣袋找钱给我。我连忙说：“不用找了，剩下的钱就送给你了。”
没想到我的话刚说完，他生气了，脸涨红了，要不是他口袋里有硬币，说不定要跳起来呢。他说：“朋友，你认为我缺钱吗？爸爸、妈妈每天给我的零花钱还不止一元呢，我想利用暑假做些社会实践活动。老师说山区的孩子很穷，有的买不起课外书看，我们应该想办法援助他们。我已经卖了好几天了，我想凑足３０元，托老师寄去。可你却把我当成了……”他说着找我了４元５角钱走开了，大街上又响起了稚气的.叫卖声：“卖冰糕喽……”
看着小男孩瘦小的背影，我心里好佩服，好感慨。要知道，我也参加了“手拉手”活动，为山区孩子捐过书本文具，但是，那都是用爸爸妈妈给的钱呀。
我愣在路边，不一会儿，手里的冰糕已在太阳下化了，天还是那样热，可我的心里却很凉爽，似乎有一股清冽的甘泉流进我的心田……

i am afraid that you will think me unpardonably negligent in not having answered your letter dated 7, december sooner, but when i have told you the reason, i trust you will be convinced that the neglect was excusable. when your letter arrived, i was just in hong kong. as my family could not forward it to me during my absence, it has been, therefore, lying on my desk until the moment when i took it up. now the first thing i have to hasten to do is to write to you these few lines to express my deep regret.
