A man walking in the night slipped from a rock. Afraid that he would fall down thousands of feet, because he knew that place was a very deep valley, he took hold of a branch that was hanging over the rock. In the night all he couls see was a bottomless abyss. He shouted, his own shout reflected back--there was nobody to hear.

You can imagine that man and his whole night of scare. Every moment there was death, his hands were becoming cold, he was losing his gripand as the sun came out he looked down and he laughed. There was no abyss. Just six inches down there was a rock. He could have rested the whole night, slept well---the rock was big enough---but the whole night was a nightmare.

Fear is only six inches deep. Now it is up to you whether you want to go on cling to the branch and turn your life into a nightmare, or whether you would love to leave the branch and stand on your feet.

There is nothing to fear.

这个故事的励志意义另一部分也因另一个人物的所为所对比升华：George的兄弟Edward，本是一个风度翩翩的皇室公爵，王位的理所应当的继承人，却因人生际遇和个性，逐渐的放弃了对王位的追逐，也从一个侧面说明了，天赋如果不为后天善用，也会逐渐被磨灭，被荒废；而对于George来说，一个对于王位继承者来说相当有阻碍的缺陷，如果有心去改变、不停的尝试，最终也会得到纠正，获得真正的自信。

你也可以认为这是一个为了讲述伟大王与民、医与患无差别友情的故事，语言治疗师洛格和王室继承人George齐心战胜“顽疾”，两个人一同为对自己来说是一件非常艰巨的任务而奋斗。当然，这个“顽疾”不同于表面上那样简单，仅仅是“口吃”或者“发音”，或是“说话是否流利”的问题。在当时的国际情势下，而在王储之中的理想继任者却沉迷韵事不思大体（其实对于这一点就我个人而言是否要对Edward抱否定批评态度，还是要持保留意见），而对于当时社会和国际情势动荡的情况下，一个强有力的国王，一个英明的统帅，一举一动都为人们所关注，人民希望得到希望和自信，希望看到一个能给他们安全感的王。因此George的“顽疾”，反而显得那么的引人注目，因为对于国王和重大场合而言，一场有力、有自信的完美的演讲，对于王室、国民和公众来说，都是必不可少需要的事情。

所以如果George是个平常的人，或许他有口吃，或许他的发音有问题，这都没什么，他可以选择成为作家、卖笔杆子，他可以选择出卖体力来维持生计，他可以尽量避开交际、闭门闭户，这都是没什么重要的事情，他自己和别人也许都不会觉得这是多么有问题的一件事。然而他却成为一个有语言缺陷的王室继承人、国王，一个小问题也许就成为了大困难，就像Edward一样，一个花花公子其实没什么，但是因为出身背景和责任，就显得有些失大体、不成器之感，其实都是位置造就的，因为人并不能选择自己的出身。

讲到这里，我想，很多人也许都在羡慕另一种生活，其实所有的生活都是一座围城，除非你可以拥有每一座城门的钥匙而可以自由进入，否则，并不要轻易羡慕或者盲目追寻另外的生活，除非你已经想得透彻，或者是你个永不思悔的人。

一个从来都没上过舞台的人，一个结巴的人登上一个自己害怕面对的舞台，他是胆怯的，害怕的，他知道自己没办法去面对，但是他没办法逃避，最终哑口无言。曾放弃过，在所有人都放弃他的时候，而他的家人没有放弃他，在一个有爱心的人帮助下，他找到了自己的结巴的根源，他们之间产生彼此信任，医生很有爱心，内心是善良的，不是为了挣钱而治病，而是为了帮助这个可怜的人，他有起初的怀疑到信任，相信自己也要相信帮助你改变的人，加上自己不断的坚持，他在无数次的失败中不断的校正，他还是没办法改变他在面对个别人和曾经恐惧的呢个地方，他的内心受到了伤害而没有找到改变的方式，最终在和老师敞开心扉打开它内心深处的伤害，他打开了心中的心结，他和老师成为了朋友，他们之间的信任增加了一个层次，当老师知道了他埋藏在内心深处的病根，终于在老师的不断帮助下，和他对老师的不断信任中我自己认真改变中，他克服了哪个对他来说的恶魔，最终以超人能力完成了国王的演讲，正是他的精神，也感动了他的家人，他的官员，他的民众，他给整个英国人民的信心和信任，他得到信任后，也找到了自己的信心，在他战胜恶魔后他的投也头的正了，说话更有自信了，他在哪一个豁然开朗，他觉得他战胜了所有人觉得不可能的事。

思路有点乱，昨天看的时候也是因为其他原因打断了几次，感觉没那么深刻，但是对自己的触动还是挺大的，没有人是天生的结巴，没有解决不了的问题，没有不可能，只有不去做，如果爱，请深爱。推荐大家在夜深人静的时候一个人带上耳机再看一次会更好。

1。头绪分明，脉络清楚

写好记叙文，首先要头绪分明，脉络清楚，明确文章要求写什么。要对所写的事件或人物进行分析，弄清事件发生、发展一直到结束的整个过程，然后再收集选取素材。这些素材都应该跟上述五个“ W ”和一个“ H ”有关。尽管不是每篇记叙文里都必须包括这些“ W ”和“ H ”，但动笔之前，围绕五个“ W ”和“ H ”进行构思是必不可少的。

2。突出中心，详略得当

在文章的框架确定后，对支持故事的素材的选取是很关键的。选材要注意取舍，应该从表现文章主题的需要出发，分清主次，定好详略。要突出重点，详写细述那些能表现文章主题的重要情节，略写粗述那么非关键的次要情节。面面俱到反而使情节罗列化，使人不得要领。这一点是写好记叙文要解决的一个基本问题，也需要一定的技巧。如：

One night a man came to our house and told me， "There is a family with eight children。 They have not eaten for days。" I took some food with me and went。

When I finally came to that family， I saw the faces of those little children disfigured （破坏外貌） by hunger。 There was no sorrow or sadness in their faces， just the deep pain of hunger。

I gave the rice to the mother。 She divided the rice in two， and went out， carrying half the rice。 When she came back， I asked her， "Where did you go?" she gave me this simple answer， "To my neighbors — they are hungry also!"

3。用活语言，准确生动

记叙文要用具体的事件和生动的语言对人、事、物加以叙述。一篇好的记叙文的语言既要准确、生动，又要表现力强，这样才能把人、事描写得具体生动，其可读性才强。试比较下面一篇例文修改的前后效果。

原文：

One day Xiaoqiang was wandering away。 He was soon lost among people and traffic。 He could not find the way back home and started crying。 Just then， two young students who were passing by found him standing alone in front of a shop and crying。 They went up to Xiaoqiang and asked him what had happened。 Xiaoqiang told them how he got lost and where he lived。 The two students decided to take him home。 Mother was pleased to see Xiaoqiang come back safe and sound。 She invited the two students into the house and gave them some money， but they didn＇t take it。 She served them with tea but they left。

修改后：

The other day， five-year-old Xiaoqiang left home alone and wandered happily in the street。 After some time， he felt hungry so he wanted to go back home。 But he found he was lost among the crowded people and heavy traffic。 When he could not find the way home， he started and crying。 Just then， two young students who were passing by from school found him sanding crying in front of a shop。 They immediately went up to him。

"Little boy， why are you standing here crying?" they asked。

"I want Mom， I go home。" said the boy， still crying。

"Don＇t worry， we＇ll send you home。"

And they spent the next two hours looking for the boy＇s house。 With the help of a policeman， they finally found it。

When the worried mother saw her son come back safe and sound， she was so thankful and she invited the students into her house。 Gratefully， she offered them some money， saying it was a way to express her thanks， but the young students firmly refused it and left without even a cup of tea。
