One day, Paula and Richard decided to make a kite.
First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together. Then, they spread some brightly coloured paper over the frame and glued it around the string.They stuck a tail made of paper to one of the corners, and tied a long string to the centre of the kite.
On the next windy day, they took the kite to a hill near their house and flew it.

有可能是客人在家，我们不知该说什么，所以谁也没说话，各做各事。蒙龙艳正坐在凳子上看作文书。弟弟耐不住寂寞，就先开口问：“蒙龙艳，我们来玩游戏。”蒙龙艳停止翻页，抬起头问道：“玩什么游戏？”弟弟翻箱倒柜地找出一些带有拉口的空罐头和带有拉环的金属盖。在火钩上拴了一条约有两尺长的线绳，回答说：“我们来玩钓瓶子。”说完，接着讲规则：“在三分钟内手提线绳钩住拉口或拉环，谁钩得多就算谁赢。一切准备好后，计时开始三分钟。游戏开始了，先是弟弟上常只见弟弟心慌意乱，一下子想要钩住地上放着的一个金属盖。可是那金属盖好像跟弟弟作对似的，偏偏不让弟弟钩祝弟弟好不容易钩住了，刚提上来金属盖就掉了，谁叫弟弟急呢？刚宣布两分钟到了，还差最后一分钟时，弟弟就变得手忙脚乱的了，急得像热锅上的蚂蚁——团团转。没等火钩稳定下来，就猛地向拉环中间甩。俗话说：“心急吃不了热豆腐。”最后时间到了，弟弟一个也没钩着，气极了。
弟弟刚才的猛甩火钩让我和蒙龙艳不禁笑了起来。不过也不能太笑了，因为下一个就是我了，说不定我也向弟弟一样一个也没钩祝但我还是有信心，不会一个都没钩着的。蒙龙艳不知什么时候不笑了，立马宣布开始计时。这让我有点惊慌失措，但我立即把火钩稳定好，尽量心平气和地钩。我知道，要玩好这个游戏，不能心慌，要冷静。虽然这样，但我的心还是“咚咚”地跳个不停。很高兴，我顺利的钩住了一个金属盖。我不慌不忙的.，随即钩第二个、第三个……时间一分一秒的拉口，却没想到把那金属盖弄翻了，拉环朝下，抵着地面。这下可麻烦了。这是最后一个了，我一定要钩祝我想。我先小心翼翼地把火钩移动到拉环侧边的一个空隙里，然后向左移一点，刚好对着拉环。我再慢慢地往上钩，钩住了！我憋住心中的喜悦，灵活地把金属盖提到了我手上。我舒了口气，总算钩完了。蒙龙艳说：“没到三分钟。”我心里的喜悦释放出来了，我一下蹦一下跳的。我钩完之后就到蒙龙艳了。她一会儿钩一个，和我一样，三分钟没到，她就全钩完了，真厉害！第二个游戏是投球，要在指定的地板砖上把一个小球投到杯子里。这项游戏是考验眼力的准确性。我们轮流去投，几乎都是败下阵来。倒是弟弟，在这项游戏中总算挽回了面子。
接下来我们玩了一连串游戏，比如打“保龄球”、抽奖等。不知不觉快到傍晚了，我们很累，没有精神再玩了。于是，我们个个靠在沙发上坐着。我提议成语接龙，大家纷纷响应。我先来出：“五彩缤纷，该你。”“嗯，纷纷扬扬”“扬扬得意”……
夜幕渐渐降临，蒙龙艳要回家了，我们欢迎她下一次再来我们这儿玩。小星星眨着眼睛，今天下午真开心！

nowadays, we can see some boys and girls who live in a small world of their own. they bury themselves among books and are proud of themselves. they think that it will make them lose their face if they do housework for they often think themselves very noble.
these young people are wrong. in my opinion every student should have a knowledge of housework. after all, they will have a family of their own, and they should do their part in keeping a good home. boys should also learn to do housework, for what will they do if they remain single? though not all boys remain single,yet they will be very helpful in the family if they know some housework. anyhow they will not lose anything, but, on the contrary, they will gain something useful.
for what i said above, we can find some eamples of our fellow-students studying abroad. all young men do housework as girls do. someone would argue that we can employ servants. this is true.however, what shall we do if the servant leaves us and all things are left to ourselves? we just cannot leave our clothes as they are and let worms and ants eat them up. and what can we do it we go and study in a foreign country where servants are out our means to employ? we must work for ourselves. why not start to learn to do housework now or else it will be too late? everyone should learn to do housework. what do you think about my idea, boys and girls?
