“责任来自付出，自信来源于自立与自强。”这句话出自《用担当成就梦想》这本书。书的作者叫洪战辉，原名洪全会，生于1982年。
这本书讲述了洪战辉小时候因为家庭变故，父亲患上了严重的精神病，亲妹妹不幸离世，母亲不堪压力离家出走。13岁的洪战辉担起了家庭重担。他照顾重病的父亲，带着一个和他没有缘关系的妹妹四处，把她抚养成人。
读完这本书，我的内心久久不能平静。在这么小的年纪，洪战辉就不得不面对命运给他带来的不幸，但是这些因难并没有将他打倒。相反，他用自己稚嫩的肩膀，撑起了一个风雨飘摇的家。更值得我们赞颂的是，当媒体报道后，许多爱心人士给他捐来善款，可他都婉言谢绝。他认为自己最困难的日子已经过去，这笔钱应该给那些比他更需要帮助的人。
和洪战辉比起来，我们不是显得十分渺小吗？当我们还在父母的呵护下健康成长的时候，洪战辉正经历着常人无法承受的`坎坷。但在灾难面前，他没有低头，没有认输，而是变得越来越坚韧、顽强、乐观。现在我们有的人，一旦在学习或生活中遇到挫折，就会悲观、消极、甚至放弃。就拿我来说，爸爸要带我去学自行车，我一开始还兴致勃勃。但是当我第二次从自行车上摔下来的时候，就开始打退堂鼓了。心想自行车这么难学，我要摔多少跤呀，还是不学了吧。最后爸爸软硬兼施也没有把我说通。现在想想，我这点困难和洪战辉比，真是九牛一毛，太不值得一提了。
洪战辉面对生活的种种不幸所表现出来的坚定顽强、从容执着，为我们树立起了一个榜样，我以后一定要学习他这种坚忍不拔、永不言弃，乐于助人等崇高的品质。
