Firstly it is because they just spend too much time doing homework without having any rest. Doing housework not only help them rest but also do some body exercise. Secondly, kids should learn how hard-working their parents are and thus learn to be grateful.
For me, I can do lots of housework. For example, I can do the dishe, I can cook, I can sweep the floor, and I can also water the flowers. What's more, I can set the table and so on.

等我回到家后，发现那位老板多找我两元！我在一旁自言自语道:“我吃一碗牛肉粉丝汤5元，又吃了两个面饼2元，共7元。我给了他20元，他应该找我13元。但是找了我15元。这两元我要不要还给他呢？”这时，体内的“小恶魔”跑出来对我说：“张道昱，不就两元吗，自己拿去花不就行了” “不行，两元也是钱呀，也是辛辛苦苦别人挣来的钱!如果你不还给那人，你就对不起胸前的红领巾了！”小天使愤怒地对着我和“小恶魔”说。
我听了“小天使”的话，立马来到了早餐店把多给我的钱还给了老板。老板惊讶的.对我说：“小朋友，你真诚实，毅然把多余的钱还给了我。如果是别人就会贪图小便宜不还给我了！”“没有关系，诚实是少先队员具备的品德之一，如果这一点都做不到，那就配不上少先队员胸前的红领巾了！”我竖定地说，马上离去。在回家的路上，树上的小鸟唱着欢快的歌曲，美丽的花朵随风飞舞，似乎我胸前的红领巾也变得更鲜艳了。

In the afternoon I returned home and began to help mom and dad do housework, from five at the beginning of the housework, busy until seven p.m., there are a lot of things, such as: middle sweeping, mopping the floor, garbage, laundry, folding clothes, flowers, clean the table and the glass and so on, I see table, ah!
Only five minutes, must do the housework, "jingle bell" the doorbell rang, I was a bit weird? Who is it? Or open the eye to see! It is mom and Dad! Nowadays, we can see some boys and girls who live in a small world of their own. They bury themselves among books and are proud of themselves. They think that it will make them lose their face if they do housework for they often think themselves very noble.
These young people are wrong. In my opinion every student should have a knowledge of housework. After all, they will have a family of their own, and they should do their part in keeping a good home. Boys should also learn to do housework, for what will they do if they remain single? Though not all boys remain single, yet they will be very helpful in the family if they know some housework. Anyhow they will not lose anything, but, on the contrary, they will gain something useful.
For what I said above, we can find some examples of our fellow-students studying abroad. All young men do housework as girls do. Someone would argue that we can employ servants. This is true. However, what shall we do if the servant leaves us and all things are left to ourselves? We just cannot leave our clothes as they are and let worms and ants eat them up. And what can we do it we go and study in a foreign country where servants are out our means to employ?
