东方初现鱼肚白时，我们便踏上了旅途。一小时后，随着太阳的升起，我们已来到了红寺湖。刚踏上这片草地时我就被她的美丽征服了，这是一个与城市截然不同的世界。要不怎么没了拥挤的车辆和人流？要不怎么没了那城市的喧闹？要不怎么没了那刺鼻的汽车尾气？
我自认为北方比不上南方，但这里却也有南方的气息，正如朱自清说的“空气中带着新翻的泥土的气息，混着青草的味”哦，我知道了，这是大自然的味道呵！呼吸这样的空气真是令人神清气爽，连旅途带来的疲劳似乎也一扫而空。仔细听，那汽车发动机的声音、工厂机器运转的声音，一切城市嘈杂的声音都听不见了，空中偶尔传来几声清脆的鸟叫，草丛中偶尔传出几声细小的虫鸣。可是给我的感觉却是那样静，似乎连地上的小虫子们抬着粮食行走时所喊的号子我都能听的一清二楚。抬头看看前面的路，绿色的地毯一直从脚下延伸到远处，蓦然回首又看见城市正笼罩在一片灰蒙蒙的雾中。
告别了草地，我们开始在弯弯曲曲的山路上小心前行，脚下的石子老是打滑，一不小心还会有摔下去的危险。正当我手脚并用筋疲力尽时，崎岖的山路已成了一条夹山小道。真是“山重水复疑无路，柳暗花明又一村”啊！说是小道，但也甚宽，小路两旁不仅有说不上名字的野花，还有许多奇石，这些石头颜色鲜红，形态各异，有的像调皮的小孩，有的像静卧的老虎，有的像指路的仙人，还有的像一个大色子。爸爸指着对面的山峰让我看，说上面有一座金字塔。金字塔没找到，我却看到了一张巨大的.人脸：眼睛是两个石洞，鼻子是一条深沟，嘴是一条横着的裂缝，还向两边咧着。真是大自然的鬼斧神工啊！突然，我的目光被路边耸立的一块高大的石头吸引住了，看，它多像一位翘首远望的妇女啊呀，可走过去又回首一望，看见的却是一只跃跃欲试向对面山上跳的的大蛤蟆。这难道不奇特吗？就在这玩赏中我们不知不觉到达了这次远足的目的地。
