这是一曲绝响，一曲我国古代纯木结构的绝响。
它就是广西容县的真武阁，静静地耸立在绣江边上，一立就是430多年。
真武阁是430多年前一位无名工匠创造的一栋技艺高超的纯木结构建筑，在特定的时代背景下，它的惊世骇俗不亚于法国巴黎的艾菲尔铁塔和澳大利亚的悉尼歌剧院。真武阁与岳阳楼、黄鹤楼、腾王阁并称古代“江南四大名楼”，并非过誉。
尽管它二楼以四根悬空的金柱承担着三楼的重量，但狂风撼不动它，暴雨打不散它，雷电击不碎它，地震摇不倒它，火灾躲避着它，虫蚁敬畏着它，人们更是小心翼翼地守护它。
由于时代和地域的局限，真武阁没能像艾菲尔铁塔、澳大利亚的悉尼歌剧院、万里长城等那样引起世界性的关注，但它在建筑史上的意义却仍然是十分重大的。作为与黄鹤楼、腾王阁、岳阳楼并称“江南四大名楼”的它，就现存楼阁的历史和建筑艺术而言，完全无愧于魁首的地位。黄鹤楼和腾王阁都是当代重建、年龄仿佛20出头的小弟弟呢，岳阳楼也才100多年，而真武阁却高寿达4个多世纪了!
这个奇迹，建造的初衷，是因为容县非常干燥，一不小心就会引起火灾。根据迷信的说法，人们想到了要建一座祭祀北方水神的天帝玄武的庙宇，也就是真武阁。
当年建造真武阁的工匠不会知道真武阁会如此惊世骇俗，他们只是默默地劳作着，以自己的聪明才智和灵巧的双手，不经意间就创造出另一个世界奇迹。
