事情是这样，在昨晚的篝火例会上，队长安排第二天的工作，理所当然地提到了第二天的朗诵比赛及安排，例如需要班主任何时带班到比赛场地、队伍顺序如何排列等。坐在一旁的我可以说是一派轻松地听着，因为深知明天的主要工作是到现场去观察和收集写作素材，或者帮忙维持一下秩序，其他的工作自有其他队员负责。
然而，就在这时，靶心划转，忽然就提到第二天将开始的调研任务，到时将会有四位队员在第二天需要离开一个上午的时间甚至更久，所以他们的工作需要找人交接。也许是我看起来太闲了，所以出乎我的'意料但却没什么不妥地，五年级的班主任兼语文老师找到了我，拜托我帮忙管理五年级的工作。说实话，那一刻我的脑袋是炸了的，因为当时已经将近九点，而我还有好几个网站的文稿没有发、两篇心得还没修改，这些就已经够我忙的了。但是当时我几乎没有犹豫地答应了，原因很简单，来这里我们就是一个整体，没有什么东西是只能某个人去做而其他人可以袖手旁观的；还有一点就是，大庭广众之下，如果我拒绝了，那他会多难堪，那样的话即使接下来找到合适的人去帮忙，想必他心里面也会有块疙瘩吧。
但接下来，我的坚定被赤裸裸地挑衅了，因为第二天五年级的工作包括早读、一节语文课和朗诵训练。当时只想仰天长啸，这每一样都够我准备很久了好吗？我是书法老师，根本就没有备语文课呀。抓狂以后，只能是接受现实，反悔是绝对不可能的，那就只有咬着牙，兴许还有条出路。
好在，五年级班主任给我支了一招，那就是早读就读古诗，语文课就专门练习朗诵，三者合二，省时省力。我一听，觉得还真的很不错。但现实总是提醒我，自己还是太天真--要读古诗，但是学生们没有书，连班主任也没有，而且也没有多媒体帮助；要练习朗诵，可是我自己都没接受过专业训练，难道要以其昏昏使人昭昭？
正当我苦思冥想、细细谋划而低头踱步到宿舍门口的时候，发现有一位队员正在找我，就上前打招呼，而看到他手中的课程表后，我就大概猜到因果了。果不其然，他也是调研组的一位，明天需要换课。我看他一位平时略显羞涩的男生，此时站在女生宿舍门口提出请求，若被拒绝，想必难受，所以，诶，就应允了。
我并不是一个不会拒绝的人，但如果在我的能力范围之内，就不想让别人难堪，这是我的原则。很明显，这个原则注定让我今晚难眠了。未完待续......

中午，我们小组6人（我、孟凯、李素雅、李厚蓉、刘伊薇和陈思宇）正在紧张有序的排练。瞧！我们有的读、有的抄、有的写。到了下午第一节课了，大家纷纷摩拳擦掌，跃跃欲试。王子诚同学和孙安迪同学的小组首当其冲，奔上讲台。他们的小组读的声情并茂，十分出色。他们刚开始就读出了母亲河的大气，母亲河的磅礴与气概。让我们佩服的五体投地。
接下来上台朗诵的是周宁心同学和明月同学。她们配合默契、组织有序，迎来了全班最最热烈的掌声。崔昌炫同学和张世然同学的组合也站到了台上。他们是全班唯一的男女组合。他们朗诵的关于母亲河与我们一模一样。我们决心，一定要超过他们小组，让全班最最热烈的掌声迎向我们6人小组！
终于，我们6人小组上了台。果然不出所料：我们6人配合默契、衔接有序。再加上我们尽心尽力创作出的朗诵队形改变，使我们小组得到了6分的高分，位居王子诚的小组之下，排名第二名。通过这次比赛，我懂得了非常多的道理。其中最最直接的一个道理就是：“只有团结一致，才能取得胜利的桂冠！团结就是胜利！”

班级比赛开始了。蒋坤伦第一个走上讲台，他声音响亮，抑扬顿挫，很有表现力。他刚一读完，教室里马上响起了雷鸣般的掌声。听着这阵掌声，我心里更紧张了：我能打败他吗？我正想着，第二个选手戈叶已开始朗诵，我不知道他读得怎么样，只听到同桌说他读错了几个字。
该我上台了，我机械地走到了讲台，捏着稿子的手不住的抖，手心直冒冷汗，这时，耳边突然响起了妈妈在我来学校前说的`话：孩子，妈妈知道你能行！是的，妈妈，我能行，我一定行！我不断地鼓励自己，要沉着，要冷静。当我读到第二个人登山时，“气馁”的“馁”字不懂怎么读了，我心砰砰直跳，直觉空气骤然升温，后辈直冒汗：怎么办？刚才还记得读音呢，不能停下来，记得妈妈说过，有边读边，无边读中间，干脆就读“妥”。当我读完时，我感觉头发湿湿的，两条腿直发抖。
