草原上来了新的朋友，是一只丑陋的鸵鸟，大家看着鸵鸟的`外貌，似乎不太欢喜，这时候斑马走出来热情的欢迎鸵鸟。
“你好!欢迎你住进大草原。”斑马说。
鸵鸟有些不好意思的说：“谢谢——谢谢——!
很快，鸵鸟就和斑马成为了最好的朋友，斑马的视觉不太好，经常草原上有些危险斑马都无法发现，鸵鸟不希望看到自己的好朋友受伤，于是当起了斑马的小卫士，鸵鸟的脖子又长又高，常常能眺望远处的危险。
只要鸵鸟发现危险，就及时通知斑马……
到了夜晚，斑马的听觉和嗅觉比鸵鸟要灵敏，而每当夜晚，鸵鸟就会进入睡眠，斑马要是察觉到什么风吹草动立刻通知鸵鸟。
鸵鸟和斑马的配合得到了草原上其它动物的羡慕，动物们为当时自己以貌取人的自己感到了羞愧，了解一个人不能只看外貌，要挖掘对方的优点。

乌鸦是个贪吃的家伙，它总是想着可以不用劳动，就能得到各种丰富的食物，渐渐的它失去了一个乌鸦该有的生存技巧，每天只知道偷盗。
一个孩子手中拿着香喷喷的豆饼，乌鸦闻到了香味，它飞到孩子的头上，用力的啄孩子的头，孩子被啄伤，无暇顾及手中的豆饼，扔到了地上。
乌鸦高兴的拾起地上的豆饼，美滋滋的吃了起来，不久，乌鸦伤人的事件便传了开来，人们决定对这只乌鸦采取措施，乌鸦的同伴们都劝阻它说不要再去偷取食物，可是乌鸦不听，因为它懒的自力更生。
再一次偷取食物的时候，乌鸦被猎枪打中，最终失去了生命，可怜的乌鸦不知道世上没有不劳而获的果实。
