You must be greatly surprised when you get this letter, not from anyone else but from your dearest son, since I have never written a letter for ages in such a traditional way. The purpose of my writing is not so much to express my gratitude for bringing me up, as it is to tell you something about my college life.
It has been more than two years since I started my college life and I have adapted myself to the new environment here, even though at the very beginning, I was not quite used to it. My classmates are pretty friendly and they offer to help me whenever need be, which is really precious for me. My teachers tell me the differences between college life and high school life and give me some necessary advice on how to learn in college. Because of their kind-hearted help, I learn to know the importance of cooperation and communications between each other, especially when in Group work.
In the past several months, I have been busy preparing for TEM 4.Therefore, most of the time, I stayed at school and seldom kept in touch with you; I should have been ashamed of this. But now it is completely finished, and I will never do that again. In my spare time, I usually go to play basketball to keep fit since you always ask me to practice more to keep healthy. What is more, I like to go to the English Corner to practice my spoken English in order to improve my oral English level, which is of importance as English major.
Finally, I would like to specially thank you for providing me the best education and experience. Without your support and understanding, it wouldn't be the same. In regard to the future, I will make every effort to study for my degree and make the dreams I had envisioned come true.

我穿好了衣服，就跟妈妈去３６栋了。等了好久好久，她们终于下来了，我们就跟她们一起去星海名城里游泳，到了那里，我们换好了泳衣，做了做热身运动，就下水了，我门一下水就像水里的鱼儿一样，自由得游着。忽然，一阵铃声把我吵醒了，我醒来一看，原来是一场梦呀！
我告诉你们游泳可以锻炼身体。而且我很喜欢玩水。老爸叫我这是暑假把游泳学会。上一次，我和爸爸、妈妈，大姨舅舅他们一起到温泉玩，我换好泳衣第一个就下了水，哇，温泉里的水好温呀！水的高度是１２０厘米，而我是１２５厘米，我就在水里扑腾扑腾直玩水。还有一次，我们三家人去海边玩，到了那里，我和我的哥哥都迫不及待地想下水了，于是，我们俩换好游泳衣，带上游泳圈，下水了，我还把脚伸到我哥哥的前面，给他扑棱水玩，他也扑棱水给我，我们两个玩得好开心，舅舅钻到水下捉弄我。

第一天，我记得我没发挥好，我练憋气憋了一会会就直哆嗦，教练叫我围着游泳池跑一圈，我还是觉得冷，其实是怕水，就是不肯再下水了，这样就只好回家了，当天就被妈妈训了一顿。晚上吃完晚饭，妈妈说：“一会让爸爸在桶里放满水，练习憋气，我帮你看好时间，我们陪你一起练。”我想，要练憋气呀，我有点害怕，可是有爸爸妈妈在旁边一起练，试试看。就这样，练着练着，我憋气的时间越来越长，最长的一次有30秒吧。后来，漂浮会了、蛙泳会了。天气时好时坏，老师教了8天就考试了，我考试顺利通过，得了个优，拿到了一张游泳等级证书。之后就再没去游泳了。
今年暑假，妈妈给我办了一张游泳卡，我又可以去游泳了。妈妈说：“一年不游，你有没有忘了呀？”我说：“没有忘，我哪容易这么健忘呢！”我和妈妈就去游泳中心游泳了，我们到了游泳中心就各自去换泳衣，妈妈是第一次和我一起游泳，妈妈不会游泳，还拿着泳圈，下水的时候，妈妈是反着下去的，但是脚又抵不到底，手拉不着栏杆，只听见“扑通”一声，妈妈掉进了水里，溅了满脸的水花，我看见了哈哈大笑。我一下水就来了一个潜泳，在水里冒了很多泡泡，游了一会，我和妈妈开始比赛，猜猜，会是谁赢呢？我加足“马力”，开始狂游，等我到终点的时候，她还在半路呢！妈妈到了终点，说：“你赖皮，重新再来。”哈哈，我游的.时候，踢了妈妈的游泳圈，所以她变慢了。我说：“来就来，谁怕谁呀。”就这样接连比了三次，都是我赢，妈妈泄气的说：“不比了，输定了。”我开心地笑了很长时间。
今年我的收获挺大的，学会了换气，打破了我对1.8米深水区的恐惧，我游过去了，现在我已经可以从南到北游一个来回了，不过体力不够，中途要休息一会，妈妈已经放心让我一个人去游泳中心游泳了。

In the first place, if you choose DIY tour, you are capable to select your own itinerary. As we all know, the biggest disadvantage of package tour is that the tourists have to follow exactly the travel agency’s schedule, this is not going to happen to a DIY tour, you are free to stay in the scenic spots as long as you want. If condition permits, self-driving tour would be wonderful, you don’t have to book traffic tickets and wait for time table, you almost can travel to the place whenever you want.
第一，如果你选择自助游，你就可以选择你自己的行程。众所周知，跟团游的最大缺点就是游客必须得遵循旅游机构的安排，这种事不会发生在自助游上，你可以自由地待在景点多久都行。如果条件允许，自驾游是超赞的，你不用买票，也不用等时刻表，你基本可以是什么时候都能去你想去的地方。
In the second place, the case of tour guide force tourists to buy souvenir is always on the news, some of them even use violent to hurt the tourist who are unwilling to buy something. By contrast, if you are in a DIY tour, certainly you don’t have to worry about this problem. It’s your choice to by souvenir or not.
第二，导游逼迫游客买纪念品的事情经常上新闻，有些甚至用暴力去伤害那些不想买东西的游客。与之相比，如果你是自助游，你肯定不用担心这种问题。买不买纪念品是你的选择。
To sum up, given the factors that I have just outlined, it is wise to support the statement that chooses DIY tour when you are going to travel. I’m sure you will be free as a bird.

after having a swim, we had lunch in the cool shade under the trees. then we went for a walk. we didn't come back home until the night fell.

we took out the sandwiches and water, and had our picnic in the shade under the trees. the most popular food are sausages and tomatoes.
after lunch we took a walk. there we saw many beautiful flowers and GREen grass. we smelled sweet air. how nice the picnic was!
我们骑车花了约两个小时，终于到了野外那个美丽的地方。那里有一条小河，河水清澈，真是个游泳的好地方。我们把自行车往地上一搁，就跳进河里。天气真热，河水让人感到舒爽。游了几个来回，我们有些累了。
我们拿出准备好的三明治和水，开始在树阴下野餐。最受欢迎的食品是香肠和西红柿。
午饭后，我们散步。在那儿我们看见许多漂亮的花和碧绿的草，我们闻到空气的芬芳。多么愉快的野餐啊!
