一直以来，我的老爸在我眼里是一个爱睡懒觉，经常跟我抢零食，做事慢吞吞的人。但是自从老爸爱上了书法，他就像变了一个人似的，每天夜以继日地练习写字，懒觉也不睡了，零食也不吃了，全身心地扑在上面。也就是在那个时候，我开始暗暗敬佩他了。
老爸每天下班回家，除了吃饭，就是练字，往往一练就是三四个小时。他戴着他那副五百度的眼镜，细细研究赵孟頫的字帖，一丝不苟地模仿着一撇一捺，有时还喃喃自语。他拒绝了单位里的聚餐，停止了以前唱歌、打球等其他爱好，也减少了逛超市买零食的时间，一心一意地投入到练字中去。有时，我放学回家让他陪我到外面骑车，他不愿意;有时，老妈让他做点什么事情，他只当做没听见;有时，我们提出去看电影，他也不理睬。哎，这个老爸没药救了。
最近，老爸除了练字就是看手机，吃饭看，上厕所也看。有一次，我偷偷瞄了一眼他的`手机，哇，竟然都是关于书法的知识。米芾的故事，柳公权的故事，楷书，行书，草书……老爸看得不亦乐乎!有时，老爸也会拿着手机给我们看一段书法家写字的视频，一边欣赏，一边赞不绝口。看来，老爸已经到了痴迷的地步了。
这几天，老爸又有了新的举动，他开始结交书法朋友了。每天回家，他总会跟我们谈论他新认识的朋友，有什么写欧体的，有搞篆刻的，也有像他一样写小楷的……前天周日，他还带着我去拜访了一位市书法协会的副主席徐老师。走进徐老师的办公室，一幅幅工整、漂亮的字让我大开眼界。老爸拿出自己的书法作品向徐老师请教，徐老师说得头头是道，真是厉害。她还边说边拿起毛笔示范，只见老爸频频点头赞同，看来受益匪浅啊!回家的路上，老爸不停地说：“到底要请教的，今天又学到了很多!”
现在，我发现我的老爸是一个特别认真的人，只要他喜欢什么就会很投入地去做。他还常常问我：“你喜欢什么?如果喜欢一件事就要坚持去做，不要像我以前那样浪费了那么多的时间，到了这个年纪再去做，太晚了!”这就是我的老爸，一个我越来越敬佩的人!
