妈妈今年四十出头，岁月的风霜却在她脸上刻下了一道道深深的皱纹。
妈妈是一名国家干部。兄妹六个，外公家并不富裕，她没上过高中，十七岁那年就在县城的一个工厂里当了工人。妈妈工作很出色，多次被评为劳动模范。一边工作，一边学习，她还通过了成人自修。后来，妈妈光荣地被录用为正式干部。
妈妈自小身体虚弱，一直多病，生活很辛苦。那时，爸爸在乡镇当领导，工作很忙，交通条件差，离家又远。我妈妈既要照顾姐姐上小学，还要帮助爷爷奶奶和外公外婆打理一些家务，自己的工作又脱不开身。妈妈对我说：“工作和生活虽然有点累，但日子过的很充实。”这几年，妈妈终于摆脱了病魔的'困扰，但她生活过的并不轻松。爸爸的工作调到了外县，我和姐姐又在太原上学，家里的老人年龄都大了。她回老家要看望老人，跑太原要照顾我和姐姐，平常在离石还要料理爸爸的生活。自己只好请假，为全家人服务。每当我看到妈妈东奔西跑的样子，哎!我的妈妈好辛苦啊!去年放寒假，妈妈没来接我，我真不知道发生了什么事?后来爸爸告诉我，妈妈做了个小手术。我和爸爸急急忙忙赶回离石，一路上我的心都快要往出跳了。当我拿着奖状走到妈妈的病床前时，两眼饱含的泪水一下子涌了出来，不知想跟妈妈说什么好!妈妈看着我，掉着眼泪，把我紧紧地抱在怀里，用她那勤劳的双手抚摸着我。

有一次我放学回家，刚到楼下就听见妈妈的喊声。我马上跑回家。只见妈妈一手拿着一双脏袜子，一手指着爸爸。脸上的表情就像要爆发的火山，家里充满了火药味。妈妈对爸爸大吼道：“说了多少次了，你就是不改。”爸爸小声说：“我正准备去洗呢。”我听了一会儿，明白了。原来爸爸昨天顺手将一双脏袜子放在椅子上，今天刚好被“卫生部长”发现了。爱干净的妈妈哪能容忍就向爸爸开火了。我一看爸爸有难，立刻援助。对妈妈说：“不就这一次吗?洗了就完了，干嘛发这么大的火。”爸爸连声附和：“是，是。”这句话把妈妈惹火了，指着我说：“你还好意思说呢。你看看你的成绩，第一单元才考了92。5。”我红着脸退出了战斗。战争结束了，爸爸只好乖乖地到阳台洗袜子去了。 说来也奇怪，堂堂的“卫生部长”竟然怕蟑螂。 有一次，妈妈正在睡觉，只听“沙沙`沙沙。”。妈妈以为是小偷，她打开灯，“啊!!!”只听她撕心裂肺地叫了一声。这一叫可不得了，把床上的爸爸，另一个房间的我都惊醒了，我跑过来一看，哎，原来是蟑螂。只见妈妈的身子不停地颤抖，一脸天要塌下来的表情。我拿着拖鞋轻松地把蟑螂拍了。 “江鑫如，快给我洗袜子去。”卫生部长喊道。得，我得洗袜子去了。
