Mary wants to be a fashion designer because she likes beautiful clothes and is good at drawing. Kate wants to be a gardener, she lives plants, and she wants to make the cities better. Mike would like to be a writer. He’d like to share his wonderful stories with others. Tom would like to be a cook. He’d like to cook delicious food for others. I would like to be a policeman. I want to protect the people safe.
Hopefully everyone can realize their dreams in the future.

Today,early in the morning,when I woke up,I found it was later for half an hour than I usually did.Then I remembered that I didn’t set up the morning call last night.So I just grabbed some bread and rushed to the bus station.The bus seemed always not appearing when I needed it.Finally,I took on a bus,then I felt so relieved,because I wouldn’t be late for school.Suddenly,the bus stopped and the driver told us to change another bus,because there was something wrong with the wheels.I was so worried.When I arrived school,I was late.It was such a bad day for me.

上了大学之后，一些老师和家长有疑惑，认为以人文社会科学为主的人民大学办出来的计算机系，会水土不服，别别扭扭。其实我也是来了之后才知道，可上溯到70年代的信息学院历史悠久，首先将数学和信息技术应用于经济管理领域中，虽然计算机单独成系的时间并不长，但是以萨师宣老先生、王珊教授开创和领导的数据库相关研究方向无疑在国内为执牛耳者。两位教授所著《数据库系统概论》一书已是全国高校计算机专业该课程的首选书目。
计算机系的课程安排大致是前两年基础课居多，后两年专业科居多。基础方面，数学相关的课程是比较重要而且难学的，包括数学分析、高等代数、概率统计等。经过这样严格的数学训练，使得计算机系的学生数学功底深厚，一方面能在将来的研究和工作中受益匪浅，一方面即使在跨专业、跨校考研中也占有很大优势。
计算机专业课的学习，体现了理论与实践两条腿走路的原则。每一门课都有这两个方面，然后侧重不同。如果想成为一名优秀的计算机从业人员，这两个方面都不可偏废，如果忽视数据结构、算法、操作系统等理论方面的指导，应对新事物理解不深，不能具有长久的技术生命力;如果没有大量的实践经验积累，一些想法都只能是纸上谈兵，不切合实际情况，生产力不高。因为，一个程序员进入每一个领域，都应该先学习前人的探索经验和成熟方法，这是理论，然后了解当前适用的工具、方法、产品，这是实践，这样才能对每一个新领域不断探索前进。而在大学课堂上，局限于教学形式和条件，老师的授课还是以理论为主，而且提纲挈领、言简意赅，所以一方面需要大家补充大量的书本自学，二方面需要在课下作大量的实践上机，课表上安排的有限几节实验课是远远不够的;三方面需要大家多看网络和杂志，了解业界的最新动态和产品、方法观点;四方面需要同学之间、班级内部形成良好的讨论氛围，分享一些看法和经验，大家共同进步。
所以计算机学习有其自身的特点，考试成绩好并不能说明技术好，反过来也一样。我临近毕业，我们亲眼看到那些工作、考研出路很好的同学无一例外都是不但成绩好而且长期在电脑前钻研实践、博览群书技术眼界开阔的。
在人大学习计算机还有另一个特点就是不专业狭隘、和社会应用结合紧密。都说人大学生适应社会能力强，这还要得益于人民大学人文社会科学的大环境。身处在这样大环境中，使得计算机专业的学生有了和其他理工类大学计算机系学生不一样的人文和社会视角。在人大，计算机系的学生和全校学生一样，都可以通过各种讲座和选修课来了解我国经济发展、修改宪法意义、营销与广告、世界文明史、文学艺术与电影等各种各样的知识，可以结识来自法学、会计、经济、艺术、新闻等各个专业的同学朋友和老师。这样使得我们在思考专业问题的时候，不会陷入狭隘的谷底，而会不自觉地思考软件营销模式、软件工程与人力资源、计算机图形与平面艺术、网络与社会舆论影响等更加广泛的主题。
这样的'熏陶，使得人大计算机系的学生特别受社会各行各业欢迎。毕业的师兄师姐以及我的同学，都正在银行、金融、保险、房地产、国家部委等行业进行着技术或信息化工作，也正在IBM，微软、思科、Oracle、Sun等国际IT企业发展。计算机系学生表现出的对其他专业的理解和包容、良好的团队合作精神与处事能力，使得这个群体的工作待遇在人大各院系中名列前茅，也使得我们自身技术得到了更好的发展。
我即将从信息学院计算机专业毕业，到另一个学校去深造。我感谢四年来在计算机系的获益，也更希望看到有更多的师弟师妹能够进入这个专业，领略她无穷的魅力。

Last week,I was so happy,because our class planned to have the activity.All of us felt so excited,we decided to have the picnic on the park.We played some games,the ones who lost the game were punished in some interesting ways.When I got punished,I was asked to ask the stranger to give the cell phone number.I felt so awkward,but I conquered my fear and finished the task.We laughed so happily,we had done so many things that we dared not to do before.We took many pictures and recorded the unforgettable moment.I wish we can have more class activities,it is a good time to promote the munication.
