星期六的中午，一家人都吃好了饭，妈妈让我先去休息一会，我心里却在想;作业也做好了，是不是该为妈妈做点什么呢?我看见妈妈已经开始在客厅和房间穿梭着，忙碌起来。我自告奋勇地对妈妈说：“妈妈，我也想做点家务!”这时妈妈和爸爸相视一笑，妈妈高兴地答应了我道：“好啊，热爱劳动是件好事情。”然后妈妈“分配”下了我要做的.事情。我的“任务”是打扫自己的房间和客厅沙发周围那小块地方。
我先开始用扫帚清理地上的脏物。我慢慢地地把沙发移开，沙发比较笨重，我的行动也显得吃力，还是被我移开了，哇，我发觉了“卫生角”，我飞快地把里面躲藏着的那些“垃圾分子”全都地扫进畚箕里面;遇到缝隙处，便用一根细线长长的杆子将其间的残渣污垢一点一点地挑出来。等我把所有垃圾扫入畚箕了后，妈妈走过来，问我：“你累不累?”我响亮地回答妈妈：“我不累!”妈妈笑着对我鼓励了几句，继续做事去了。
接下去的任务是打扫我的“小天地”。我先拖地板。我把拖把用水冲刷干净后晾得基本干了，再开始拖地。看到地上有掉落的细碎物，比如纸片和其它废旧品，就小心地将它们捡起来扔回垃圾桶里。我牢牢地握住拖把，仔细地拖着，不放过每一处脏乱处，终于完成了妈妈交给我的“任务”。
我的心里喜滋滋的， 原来爸爸妈妈平时是多么地辛苦啊，为了我，他们总是甘愿担这份苦。以后，我一定要学着做点家务，持之以恒。学习上，更加要不断进步，以报答爸爸妈妈对我的那一份爱。

妈妈看见了，不但没责怪我，还开心的笑了，表扬我说：“你懂事了，会洗碗了!”我听了心里乐滋滋的。

当我打扫完房间时，我已经汗如雨下了，可没想到妈妈又命令我把客厅打扫一下。这时，我实在是忍不住了，大声对妈妈说：“你还有完没完啊！一会儿让我干这个，然后一会儿又让我干那个，就不能让我休息一下吗？”妈妈听了生气地说：“你此刻胆子越来越大了啊，还敢跟我顶嘴！让你做你就做，哪来那么多的废话！”妈妈的话彻底把我的嘴缝住了，我一句话都不敢说了。
我花了很多很多时光，最后把客厅打扫地一干二净。我兴奋地跑到妈妈那里，然后想让妈妈来检查一下。可我却看见妈妈也忙得不得了，干这干那的，累得满头大汗的。原先，妈妈比我更辛苦呢！这时，我心里很难受，想起刚才跟妈妈顶嘴是多么不就应啊！
妈妈看着干净的家，对我说：“有这么干净的家，也有你一份功劳哦！”然后说完，还在我脸上亲了一下。我顿时感到心里美滋滋的！
