现在大家都在使用的手机叫:智能手机。那什么叫“智能手机”呢?是指像个人电脑一样，具有独立的操作系统，可以由用户自行安装软件、游戏等第三方服务商提供的程序，并可以通过移动通讯网络来实现无线网络接入的这样一类手机的总称。其实我认为智能手机是掌上电脑演变而来的，是传统手机与个人电脑的科学结合与升华,但它与传统手机相比优势明显。
智能手机给我们生活带来了不少方便。它可以和电脑一样上网购物。记得去年老师让我们买一本图书，爸爸跑遍了附近的几家书店都一无所获，只好赶了半小时的路程到城西新华书店才买到，来来回回足足花了一个下午时间。而今年，妈妈的智能手机安装了支付宝，上淘宝网轻轻点几下，许多图书展现在我们面前，价格上还给我们打折呢!不出家门第二天就拿到了好几本崭新的图书，真是既方便又实惠!除了购物，手机还以能给我们指明方向。今年夏天我在网上报告参加了包玉刚游泳馆的自由泳培训班，可我和妈妈还没有去过游泳馆，不知道具体位置，只知道天目山学院路口附近。我们坐公交车到学院路口下车后，不见游泳馆的踪影，沿学院路往前走了十多分钟也没见着，在这个时候，妈妈想到了手机，拿出手机查找地图，才知道我们方向错了，越走越远了，其实离下车的地方挺近的，真是多亏了这智能手机，否则我们真成了“南辕北辙”了.
