省科学技术馆坐落在哈尔滨太阳岛科技园区，占地面积50000平方米，建筑面积25000平方米，其中常设展厅有12000平方米，另有临时展厅1500平方米。别的且不说，仅就是这么四个数字就足以表现出了科技馆的气魄来了吧！
科技馆的外观设计相当地独特，两边是高耸的柱子，中间是一个下凹的状态，凹形正中间怀抱着一个巨大的圆球。远远望去，流畅地线条、完美地结合，充分体现了一种现代科技的精神；给人一种无尽地遐思，让人感到一种神秘感和一种让人急切走近的渴望。
整个科学技术馆里充满了能让人切身体验到的深奥科学技术，有实践性的.，有操作性的，还有娱乐性的……而且是可参与性的，有许多项目和设施我都亲自进行了操作，我把自己溶入了科学，摇身一变，一天之中我仿佛成了一个伟大的科学家，我深深地被科学所感动。
这里有模拟开车、球走轨道、4D电影、灭火实验……都十分有趣！
我特别喜欢在一楼——机械展厅玩那个可以滚动的球走轨道。这个项目是由许多种机械原理组成的，比如说：传送带传送铁球，杠杆升降轨道……这动手力很强，我们好几个人齐心合力一起把球传送到终点，也就是起点；然后，再传送，再到终点，就这样一圈一圈地循环。让我们感到十分地新奇。
模拟开车的也是一项很酷的运动。汽车模型是完全仿真的，方向盘与挂档用的舵让人感到十分地称心如意，开起来的效果很逼真。但是，由于我很紧张，所以老是灭火，让人很扫兴。
让我最为开心的是4D电影。4D电影主要是让人戴上了一种可视三维立体的眼镜，于是，所看到的东西都好像是在眼前，又同时加上全方位立体声、座位的摆动、吹风、喷水，身临其境的效果油然而生。影片是一个惊险的虚拟动画，飞船在你眼前飞过，便吹来了一阵阵强风；当主人公进入海底时，你也会感到座位猛的一陷，身体和心都随之陷了下去，真刺激；还有就是在美人鱼面前，她向你看看，然后喷你一脸水，真好玩！然后，就是那一群老鼠向你身上扑来时，你会感到脚下地上都是老鼠，十分地令人心跳，其实那也只不过是特效而已！8分钟的惊险4D短片，不只是让我耳目一新，而且还真是让我难以忘怀！
一天下来，真是快乐和新鲜，不但在玩中学到很多知识，而且还在学知识的同时得到了尽情地玩耍；这一天是我最愉快的一天！
