议论：目的是为了直接点明和加深所写内容的意义。记叙文中恰当的穿插议论往往使文章锦上添花，起到画龙点睛的作用，尤其是文章末尾的议论。就是段与段之间用上一两句议论，也能起到承上启下的妙用。
抒情：作者在记叙的基础上抒发自己的思想感情。一种是作者在记叙的基础上直接抒发自己对文章的思想感情；还有一种是寄情于人、寄情于事、寄情于物。
说明：常用来说明某种事物状态、性质、功能的特征。
