When it is 12 years old, it studs over three meters and does not grow any more. Elephant is usually grey in color, having a long trunk with large ivory tusks protruding from each side of its mouth. Usually moving in groups and caring for each other, Elephant is know to be a very and gentle creamre. For many years people have used the strength of these poweful animals to move trees and heavy logs. Elephant has been and is a vital tool for people to do many things that would normally be imposs-ible.
Elephant is and will continue to be one of the greatest creatures man has ever come into contact with. Its size. beauty, and power willforever be useful to man.

最近，我看了一幅名为《假文盲》的漫画，看完漫画后，我感触良多。
漫画描绘了在一个寒冷的冬日里，，一个公交车站的“母子上车处”的通道上站着四名身穿棉袍，身材魁梧的大汉，在通道旁站着一位衣着单薄的妇女，她手上抱着一个不到一岁大的婴儿，只见她望着这几名大汉，摇了摇头，露出了无奈的神情。虽然通道前立着一块十分醒目的“母子上车处”牌，他们对这个牌子视而不见，有的甚至还在闭目养神！这井然成了“大汉上车处”！
看完这幅漫画，我不禁要问：你们是瞎子吗？你们难道不识字吗？难道你们不会感到羞愧吗？
不，他们看到不是文盲，他们肯定识字，肯定知道这个牌子上写着什么。正因为他们看得懂这些字，才知道这里可以先上车，所以他们才假装成文盲，完全把那位妇女看成空气，置公德心于不顾。
在生活中，这样的“假文盲”也随处可见。在图书馆，墙上明明写着“不许大声喧哗”，有的人却当没看见，还兴致勃勃的聊天，破坏了图书馆优雅的环境；在医院，墙上写着“禁止吸烟”字样，但“吞云吐雾”的现象还是十分严重；在草坪上，随处可见立着一块“禁止践踏草坪”的牌子，但有的人还是在上面踢足球、放风筝等等，一点也不保护环境。归根到底，这都是缺乏社会公德心的表现。
如果每一个人都对着提示或警告标志视而不见，甘愿做个“假文盲”的话，那么这个世界将会是一片混乱：相反，如果每一个人都能遵守社会公德，互帮互助，那么这个世界将会是文明和谐的，愿文明之花开遍世界的每个角落！

这时，黄磊问我们傍晚去不去河里洗澡。我们齐声说：废话，当然去了！他轻蔑地问个头最小的'我：你会不会游泳啊？我真怀疑！我不会游泳，只是初学，顶多能在水里待十几秒钟，但为了面子，我还是硬挺着脖子说：当然会！你瞧不起我呀？黄磊很不以为然地笑了一声。到了傍晚，我们一起来到河边。我不想让他们知道我不会游泳，那就太没面子了，便一个人来到上游，慢慢地下了水，想独自学一下。但还没等我拍水，身子就如千斤巨石般沉了下去。我想我还是不学了吧，便在水中走着，来到一处水流很急的地方，想坐在石头上休息一会儿。可身子还没坐稳，我就被水冲下了石头。我不服气，站起来朝上走着。
谁知水的冲力太大，又把我冲到一个大水坑里。我感觉不大对劲，赶紧闭气钻到水底。可还没等我冲出水坑，就憋得难受了。我用脚一点地，换了口气，但水却冲入我的口中，把我呛得头都疼了。我双手乱摆，心想：这下可玩完了，谁来救我啊？突然间我想到了亡。水哗哗地灌入我的口中，抽走了身边所有的氧气。我的头一起一伏，想张开嘴喊救命，可水却堵住了我的嘴巴。我的力气越来越小，伙伴们的身影从我眼中渐渐消失怎么回事？我的双手好像被什么抓住了，身子也从水中浮了起来。原来是方佳美和黄磊，他们来救我了！我幸运地从神手中逃脱了！他们把我拉到岸上，我望着他们哭了，不知该怎么感谢他们才好，是他们给了我第二次生命。
通过这件事，我明白了一个道理：人不要逞能，不会就是不会，没什么可丢脸的。生命是宝贵的，每个人只有一次，千万要珍惜，千万别拿生命当儿戏！

Visiting the Zoo
Yesterday was Sunday and it was a fine day.My parents and I visited the zoo.We went by bus.We started out at 8:00 in the morning and got there at 8:30.There were many people in the zoo.Some were watching the animals,some were playing games and others were resting under the trees.We went to watch the birds first.Then we came to see the monkeys.They were very lovely.We also saw the tigers and the lions.We saw many animals in the zoo.We felt very happy.
