曾经有人比喻过世界上最好看的人是谁?不是碧昂斯(美国的歌星，也不是宋乔恩(韩国的明星，知耻是最美的人。如果一个人懂得知耻，那么他的身上会有一种独特的气质，也会格外珍惜自尊，因此他会自觉的维护他人的自尊。既尊重他人，人人彼此尊重，相互接纳共同在这样的环境下成长。
尊重他人的人既看重自己的人格，又看重他人的人格，所以我们既要尊重他人，要尊重自己。俗话所的好：“士可不可辱。”这句话告诫我们要有人格，谁要是丢了人格尊严，那就是自我作贱了。别人自然也就不把你当做人看了。如：春秋时期，齐王派晏子出使楚国。燕子很矮，楚王想趁机侮辱他，叫人把城门关了，让晏子从城门旁一个五尺高的小门进去，晏子对接待的人说：这是狗洞，不是城门，只有访问狗国才从狗洞进去，你们先弄明白，楚国到底是个怎样的国家。”楚王得知后，只好吩咐打开城门。把晏子迎进城去。这则文中的晏子看重自己的人格，才没有从狗洞进去。像楚王这样的人，侮辱他人则不尊重他人，那就是对自己的不尊重。如果别人只是对我们一点的议论，一点批评就以为是对自己的不尊重，这种想法是不对的。只能代表别人的意见，未必是正确的。批评是对我们行动的评价，针对的是具体行为具体，而不是指人本身，。所以我们对待议论和评论，应该做到：“无则加勉。”议论和批无关紧要的议论就不必认真对待了。尊重他人还可能让我们养成豁达、开朗的性格。还可以更多的欣赏来自他人的智慧。如：有一次和妇女代表聚会。一位代表不小心对着主席打了个喷嚏，唾沫溅到了主席的身上。大家都很紧张，那位代表也战战赫赫。主席看到了这样的情形就说：“我连蒋介石都不怕，还怕你的唾沫吗?你这点威力也太小了，哈哈。”大家见主席似乎丝毫没有生气赶忙帮主席擦干净。主席就用幽默的方式化解了现场紧张的气氛，赢得了大家的尊重。如果我们像主席一样，养成豁达的性格就会赢得他人的尊重，也会减少矛盾的发生。随之周围的朋友也会多了。尊重他人，要放下自己的身段换位思考。尊重他人学会药欣赏、接纳他人，其次做不损他人人格的事情。在生活中有一些人不尊重他人行为，甚至影响了一个国家的文明程度。
所以我们知道了尊重他人很重要，让我们一起来遵守这个规则吧!
