五泉山以泉而得名，有摸子泉、掬月泉、惠泉、和蒙泉。五眼泉散布五泉山各处，犹如五颗明珠，在五泉山的林间岩下熠熠生辉。
泉水是五泉山的灵魂。泉水，一刻不停地奔跑着，生怕跟不上时间；泉水，依傍着青山，因有它，风景才显出灵气；泉水，从山中渗出，冬暖夏凉。
水，泉水，五泉山的泉水，在干旱的兰州能有这样的泉水确实不易得。
在里，清凉的泉水相互连在一起，分不出源头，分不出你我交汇在一起。真是水水相连、无水不奇啊！大大小小的水潭分布在公园，犹如一颗颗巨大的夜明珠，撒在公园各个角落。走近一看，原来是水草映衬着水潭，把水潭染成了绿色，像绿宝石一样晶莹剔透。
有些潭上布着些石块，供人走动，这些石块好似给夜明珠添了几块白斑，它靠着山，映着水，人站在石块上，有一种置身仙境的感觉。泉水从山中的五个泉眼流出来，哗哗地在公园流淌。仿佛在欢快地歌唱，向人们欢呼：我又回来了，捧着泉水，可淘气的它从指缝中渗出，滴入池中。
把手放入水中，一股凉丝丝的感觉涌上心头。手在水中仍然看得清清楚楚。品一口，呵！甜滋滋的，凉爽极了，整个人都好像沐浴在池中。泉水的哗哗声依然忽大忽小地响着，开心地舞蹈着、吟唱着。
