随阵阵锣鼓，一头栩栩如生的狮子神气十足地出现在人们面前。它眨巴着一双，摇头摆尾，简直和真狮子一模一样。
来到事先用木桌子搭好的大约有两层楼高的戏台前，狮子向大家鞠了个躬，后脚一蹬，前脚一提，轻松地跳上了第一层桌台。狮子伸伸腰，蹶蹶腿，冲观众点点头，腾挪间又跃上了第二层桌台。
紧接着，狮子两只后腿直立，两只前腿悬空，在仅有两三个平方的桌面上竟然威风凛凛地站了起来。“啪啪啪啪……”观众席上爆发出雷鸣般的掌声，不少观众不约而同地大叫道“好样的！”。要爬最后一级了，只见狮子全身发力，用力一转，后脚顺势腾上了一层，狮子装出很害怕的样子，一只前腿小心翼翼地按着桌子，另一只前脚稳步而上。站在高高的戏台上，狮子再次谦虚地向观众深深鞠了一躬，然后用它宽大的嘴一口叼下挂在最高处的红绣球，凌空扔向观众。
接着，狮子一只腿站上倒立的桌腿上，另外三只腿依次站上其余的桌腿上面，然后慢慢地抬起左边的两只腿蹭着桌腿，一副漫不经心的样子。这时，我的心早已悬到了嗓子眼儿边，台下也乱成了一锅粥，人们纷纷鼓掌称赞。狮子出尽风头后，洋洋自得地扭扭屁股，准备下台。后腿悬空着地，前腿腾挪自如，只几十秒的功夫，狮子就轻轻松松地下到了第一层桌面。忽然，“骨碌”一下子，狮子故意从桌子上滚下来，看着先前扔下的红绣球，好像不认识，用脚碰碰，又迅疾收回；接着用舌头舔舔脚，装出一副可怜样儿，真是可爱极了！
这时，我仿佛觉得它不是狮子，而是一只调皮的小猫！只见狮子张开盆大口，一口将红绣球吞下，然后睡在地上，用前腿悠闲地拍拍肚子，好像吃饱的样子。
