Founder of Labor Day
More than 100 years after the first Labor Day observance， there is still some doubt as to who first proposed the holiday for workers.
Some records show that Peter J. McGuire， general secretary of the Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners and a cofounder of the American Federation of Labor， was first in suggesting a day to honor those "who from rude nature have delved and carved all the grandeur we behold."
But Peter McGuire"s place in Labor Day history has not gone unchallenged. Many believe that Matthew Maguire， a machinist， not Peter McGuire， founded the holiday. Recent research seems to support the contention that Matthew Maguire， later the secretary of Local 344 of the International Association of Machinists in Paterson， N.J， proposed the holiday in 1882 while serving as secretary of the Central Labor Union in New York. What is clear is that the Central Labor Union adopted a Labor Day proposal and appointed a committee to plan a demonstration and picnic.

今天是五一劳动节，舅舅带我们去了期待已久的水上乐园，让我回味无穷。
刚到水上乐园，我和哥哥、姐姐都无比兴奋。我们看到可爱的卡通人物，看到了刺激又好玩的高空滑梯，还有那“一望无际”的大海。我们换好泳衣，就冲出去。因为时间还没到，有些地方还没开放，所以没有多少游客来这里玩。我和姐姐跑到了儿童区，玩了一会儿。
到了10点“高空滑滑梯”开始了。高空滑滑梯是一条又陡又长的滑梯，起点有4楼那么高哦。哥哥姐姐先滑。看着他们从那么高的地方掉下来，我都替他们捏了一把汗，我想：他们应该比我更紧张吧！轮到我了，我躺在上面，两只手放在脑袋下面，双眼紧闭，就连呼吸也快停止了。上面的.工作人员把我一推，我便滑了下来，因为滑梯上面部分成弯曲状，我的身体随着滑行的轨迹不停地旋转、扭曲着。我害怕极了，脑子里一片空白。心里一直默念着：怎么还不到啊？快点到啊！再不到我就得去见阎王了！突然，“噗通”一声，我感到呼吸困难，我拼命地挣扎着，感觉被人闷住了鼻子和嘴巴，不能呼吸！当我正在垂挣扎之时，有只大手抱住了我，我可以呼吸了，舒服多了。我慢慢的睁开眼睛，发现我在爸爸的怀里，好温暖。
我正享受着，突然耳边传来甜美的声音：“尊敬的游客，再过5分钟，我们奉化水上乐园将在‘大海洋’举行冲浪。”我迫不及待地从爸爸的怀里挣脱出来，朝大海洋跑去。我来到大海洋，冲浪已经开始了。我看见好多人在这儿玩，哥哥在水深1。8米的地方玩，姐姐却在浅水岸边洗阳光。我坐在水里，大浪一次次地把我冲到沙滩上，而我却老是回到原来的地方。大浪生气了，一下来得好猛，使我沉到了水底，而且还喝好几口水。我就气呼呼地跑开了。
10点40分，“高空飞艇”开始了，我和舅舅拿上飞艇就走了上去，工作人员把飞艇放好，我坐在前面，舅舅在后面。工作人员把我一推，我们滑了下去。我双目紧闭，大声尖叫，不过已经有刚才高空滑滑梯的经历，还有舅舅就在后面，所以心里安慰了不少，一下子就到水中了。下来后还一直嚷嚷着：再来一次，再来一次……
夜幕降临，我们也该打道回府了。真是刺激有好玩的一天，下次还要来！

On the first day of the rest, mom and dad and I went to ningbo sea world and youngor zoo.

In the panda garden, I finally met our national treasure, the giant panda. They are naughty flip, also eat bamboo. Beautiful peacock contended for the tail, to show us their beauty.

Hello, today is May Day. I and My father, mother and sister went shopping. We bought, lollipops, ice creams, cornflakes, toasts, butter, orange, milk and rolls. And my mother bought toys for me. Such as: train, ball, balloon, car, doll, plane and skateboard. After that we went to zoo. I saw rabbit, tigers, snails, and lions, hamsters, budgies and zebras. My sister asked me “what do your like?” I answered “I like skipping rope. That’s very nice.” She said “Here is you prize, Sunny!” “Oh, thank you! I love it!” I shouted. We sat under a tree. After lunch we drank some milk.
Today I am very happy!
