the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.
then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.

I went to the countryside to spend my summer holidays this year. I liked green plants, clear rivers and lovely amimals there.I breathed the fresh air on the mountain and sometimes I went swimming in the river. I kept a diary every day.
I liked not only the scene of the countryside, but also the people there. I helped them to do farm work. I also helped the children in the neighbourhood with their lessons. The children were interested in English. They were good at reading and writing, but did not do well in listening and speaking. I helped them improve their listening and speaking. Their parents thought highly of me. I realized that knowledge is greatly needed in the countryside.

我正在做作业。刚好弟弟去上厕所，我玩起他的玻璃小礼物来了。突然，扑通一下。弟弟的玻璃小礼物掉到了地上，小礼物碎了。我急得像热锅上的蚂蚁，心里想着：怎么办怎么办，要让妈妈知道了。那我就要挨打了！这时，弟弟从厕所里出来了。我不管三七二十一就把玻璃小礼物塞进了自己的床底下。弟弟发现玻璃小礼物不见了，就哭着去找妈妈。妈妈火冒三丈，对弟弟说：那个礼物你知道多少钱吗？你还买不到2天就妈妈没再说下去，弟弟哭得更大声了。模模糊糊地说：我又不知道它到哪去了，我刚才就去了一下厕所，回来后它就不见了！
我很后悔，把自己的罪推到了弟弟的身上。我说：弟弟，别着急，姐姐帮你找。我叫他去床底下找，自己假装很着急地找。弟弟找到了小礼物，刚要把小礼物从床底下拖出来，自己的手去扎到了玻璃。妈妈知道后，马上帮弟弟包扎好，吃饭后带弟弟又去买了一个。
我很后悔，我很想对弟弟说一句：弟弟，对不起！可我说不出口。但我知道，世上没有后悔药。下次，我绝对不再冤枉人了。我可真后悔这样做。
