4、分析或设计平台商业模式的首要步骤是定义双边或者多边的群体，了解他们的需求并讨好各方。
5、激发网络效应，包括同边网络效应和跨边网络效应。(同边即同一群体，如淘宝买家相买家;跨边即不同群体，如买家相对卖家。书中举例开心网抓到了“转帖”、“发表观点”、“投票”等引爆了网络效应。
6、建立用户过滤机制。有些用户会对平台起到副作用，如招聘平台来了一个发一个征婚广告。
过滤的方法有：实名注册，用户彼此监督举报
7、设定“付费方”与“被补贴方”。平台从付费方收费补贴被补贴方的目的是希望以此促进被补贴方群体数量的.增加，因为平台的各方是互相促进，被补贴方数量的增加会带来补贴方的增加。(备注：还有一个是可以先花投资人的钱，如滴滴打车补贴用户，京东负利润流快跑，不过作者整书没有提到任何关于融资方面的事情
8、补贴方的选择：
a、对金钱敏感方，如注册送20元;
b、成长边际低的群体，如盛大文学的读者群体，增加人数对平台的成本为0;
c、同边网络效应为正向的，如你身边每多一个人注册微信都会带动你更加会注册微信;
d、多地栖息可能性高的群体(即没有粘性，如滴滴打车PK快的打车;
e、现金流汇集困难的群体，如论坛收广告主的钱比用户难收集;
9、赋予用户归属感。个人建议参考《参与感》
10、平台模式对于用户“边”的定义，要求具有开放性的特质。如苹果的硬件商不属于平台的“边”，安卓的属于。因为苹果的硬件商是由苹果决定的，不是开放的。
11、平台盈利的前提是平台的生态圈达到一定规模，建议从平台还没有规模前就收集用户的信息。
12、平台盈利模式：一种为跨边网络效应所引起的两股强大需求，在它们中间彼此带来满足前设立关键收费关卡(增值服务;另一种通过数据收集分析，创造多层级的价值。(第二个书中举例为高朋说服商家低于成本价团购，其实最终目的不是该产品的销售，而是做了一次广告。
13、平台创立后，如何引爆网络效应(跨越临界点的鸿沟，平台连接双边市场后，该优先发展哪一边。
a、在平台还没有达到网络效应的时候，应该提供“非网络效应的价值”，以期积累到网络效应爆发的临界点。如免费、优惠、体验。
b、以知名用户巩固发展基础，如微博最初以大V带动。
14、耕耘细分市场。一个成长平台企业若没有打造出细分配对渠道的框架，很可能被新进的竞争者侵蚀掉某一细分市场。如淘宝建立电器城，服装，旅游等;
15、累积双边话语权刺激双边成长。平台话语权的提升取决与能否使乙方群体吸引到一定规模的另一方群体，能否为特定用户提供更好的赢利机会。如淘宝对卖家的话语权是吸引足够的买家，而对买家的话语权为有各种产品。
16、实施定价策略。制定定价策略时需要考虑：
a、对一边群体的定价策略会影响其他群体;
b、平台生态圈的发展阶段;初步分引爆前与引爆后，引爆前补贴比较重要。
c、产业竞争格局;如对手免费会对你的定价影响。
17、拟定用户转化策略4步骤：察觉、关注、尝试、行动。如发现淘宝、浏览、购买，让这个步骤流动的更好，甚至加速。
