关键词在于“出新”、“新奇”。九年级学生都学习过罗迦.费.因格的事物的正确答案不止一个，我们怎样才能知道事物的正确答案不止一个呢？
首先，要从多角度联想，对同一事物从不同角度进行思考，寻求多种答案，从中选择最新最佳的角度来立意。如某市的中考作文题我渴望……，可写的素材很多，考生有写我渴望成功的，有写我渴望自由的。俗语说：“后娘的心肠”。这说明后娘的心地恶毒啊。有一位考生却反其道而行之，写我渴望后娘。一般来说，小孩都怕有后娘，但为什么这位考生却盼望有后娘呢？原来，考生体验父亲生活的艰难，希望有个后娘能关心父亲，为父亲分担忧愁和负担。这位考生的深沉的爱令人感动，文章的成功就在于“出新”与“新奇”。
其次，要从个人独特的生活经历中选取素材，写别人所未写，立别人所未立。如以“流水”为话题的作文，如选取“滴水石穿”思路写凡事持之以恒才能成功，就难免会老生常谈；由滴水与大海的关系谈个人与集体的关系也有俗套之嫌；而由“不积跬步无以至千里;不积小流，无以成江海”谈知识在于积累也给人以似曾相识的感觉……如能选取“流水不X”的思路谈水一潭易于X败，而大浪淘沙才富有生
命力，进而联系社会现实谈改革开放给国民经济带来的活力，谈竞争机制对陈规陋习和“铁饭碗”的冲击，就能给人以耳目一新之感。
总之，话题作文是初中学生经常遇到的作文形式，它充分体现了作文教学与生活的联系，是素质教育在作文教学中的很好体现。需要同学们从大处着眼，小处落笔，以小见大，反映主题，从现实生活生活中，去感悟人生的真谛，才能创作出具有真情实感的文章。艺术来源于生活而高于生活。因为写作也是一门艺术。
