Christmas Day falls on the twenty-fifth of December.It is a very happy day for many boys and girls .Before the term ends in some schools ,the children act a nativity or “birth” play,showing how Jesus was born in a stable.
On the twenty-fourth of December,all children are very excited.Usually they are sent to bed early so that their parents can get the presents ready.The younger children think that Father Christmas will come down the chimney or fireplace ,so they hang up a sock for him to put presents in.The greedy ones even hang up a pillow-case or a sack to try to get more presents.Later that night,Father or Mother will put presents in the sock,and leave others at the side of the bed.
On Christmas morning,the children wake up very early.Some even turn on the light at two o'clock,and most of them are awake by six o'clock although it is not light in England for another hour or two at this time of the year.Children look for their presents,and the young ones play while the dinner is prepared.At about one o'clock in the afternoon,the Christmas dinner is brought in.The turkey or chicken is quickly eaten.Children search in their Christmas pudding for new coins which are hidden in it.The rest of the day is full of games and eating until the happiest of all Christmas hollidays comes to an end.

我期盼已久的中秋节终于到来了。
中秋节自古便有祭月、赏月、拜月、吃月饼等习俗。每到中秋节，月亮就像圆盘一样挂在空中，以为人们寄托对故乡的思念、祈盼幸福。
中秋节就是团圆的日子，一大早我就跟爸爸妈妈一起回到了爷爷家过团员节。
现在是初秋，路边几乎没有什么花朵，凉风飕飕，天空格外蓝，太阳公公也微笑着，白云合拢在一起，仿佛都在过中秋节。到了中午时，天气逐渐变得暖和起来，偶尔还会听到几只蝉在树上哼着小曲，仿佛在说：“中秋节来了！中秋节来了！”
我企盼多时的傍晚终于到来了，今天的晚餐可真丰盛啊！有月饼、水饺、鱼、鸡……其中，月饼有水果的、五仁的、豆沙的…我一边吃着饭，一边听奶奶讲月神的故事。吃完饭后，我拿着一个月饼在院子里静静地赏月。
今晚的天气十分凉爽，星星也不知跑到哪儿去了，可能伴随着晚风回去过节了吧。天空中只留下来一个又大又圆的月亮，月光洒落下来，大地仿佛披上了一层白纱。转眼间，月亮像变魔术一样，刚才还被天狗咬了一口，现在立马恢复了。时而清晰、时而模糊，像个大圆盘挂在空中，又像一面淡黄的镜子照耀着我们，还像一个遥不可及的巨大月饼，想品味却又够不到……
人们放起烟花，烟花像流星一样划过天空，留下一道美丽的弧线。有的像一朵菊花绽放在高空，有的像一个个仙女在翩翩起舞，还有的像一个脸蛋儿在冲我们甜甜地微笑……
我们一边看着中秋晚会，一边和家人谈笑风生。欢声笑语荡漾在农家小院的上空。
团团圆圆的中秋节令人难忘！

今天是一年一度的中秋佳节，月饼浓浓的香气伴着家家喜气洋洋的气氛，使人感到惬意极了。
人们期盼已久的美丽夜晚终于来到了。家家灯火通明、喜气洋洋。我一边吃着月饼，时不时也注意着天空，看看皎洁的月亮。
透过窗户，我看见月亮从楼角慢慢上升，好像害羞的小姑娘，升到楼顶时，似乎胆大了，一下子跳了出来。顿时，一轮明月已经高高地挂在天空中，向地上洒下皎洁的月光，像轻纱似的一般温柔。月光照在树叶上，在地面就能看见影子。我呆呆的瞧着月亮，仿佛看见了美丽动人的嫦娥，活泼可爱的玉兔。天空中云很淡，风很轻，月光很美，构成了一幅美丽的画卷。
这时，爸爸对我说：“每年农历八月十五，是中国的传统节日中秋节。中秋时节也是收获粮食的季节，地里的金黄色玉米、大豆、白花花的花生已经熟了，都等着农民伯伯去收获呢。果园里黄灿灿的梨、红通通的苹果都等着人们去采摘。”
我欣赏着这明亮高挂的月亮，忽然想起来一首小诗“小时不识月，呼作白玉盘”，这圆圆的月亮，难道不像诗人所描绘的吗？中秋之夜，这月光好似也格外皎洁。月光透过树叶，星星点点的洒在大地上，显得格外宁静美丽。

今天是个快乐的日子，因为只是一个可以让家
人团圆的日子，每个人都会盼望着与家人重逢。所以，今天我便跟爸爸妈妈一起开车回老家过团圆节。
一路上，路边的风景美不胜收，充满其妙，路东边的柳树好围
在一起，似乎它们，也是在过中秋节吧！天空上的鸟儿在叽叽喳喳，仿佛在说：“中秋节到了，中秋节到了！”不一会，便到了奶奶家了。奶奶一大早，便在门口迎接。见到我们时，奶奶便是笑的合拢不上口了。也到中午，奶奶、爷爷边喊着：“吃饭了！”中午饭，那才是美味呀！有鱼、虾、青菜、肉、汤……吃完午饭后，我便上院子里去，为晚间赏月做准备。
晚上，我盼呀盼，终于，我把月亮给盼来了。我们便来到院子中吃月饼、赏月，月饼有不同口味，有牛肉味、芝麻味、水果味……把我馋的直流口水。今夜的夜空很晴朗，月亮像玉盘一样，挂在空中，整世界都被月光所笼罩。一切仿佛披上了一层白色的轻纱，便开始慢慢地，皓月变得有点淡，变得黄，变得清晰，当薄薄的云层开始退去，月亮也开始了孤独的“站岗”仿佛没有去团圆的人吧！每年农历八月十五得月亮比其他几个的满月更圆，更清晰啊！所以才是传统的中秋佳节。这时，一年秋集中的中期。三个部分，因而中秋也称仲秋。所以，每当中秋节时，人们便都在准备回家过这个奇特的中秋节。
中秋节啊！你是让家人团圆的日子！中秋节啊！你是一个快乐的来源。
