每当夏天来临的`时候，大街两旁就会摆满西瓜摊，那一个个圆溜溜的小家伙躺在箩筐里，探着小脑袋，眼睛一眨不眨地看着大街上的行人，那样子别提有多可爱了。这时我总会拉着妈妈来到摊前摸摸这个，敲敲那个，决定带一个回家。我东敲敲，西敲敲，终于挑出了一个自认为满意的瓜。我乐滋滋地捧着西瓜往家走，一到家我就猴急地从厨房里拿来水果刀，准备切西瓜，奶奶看见了，紧张地说：“别动，别动，小心手，奶奶来切！”没等奶奶赶到，我的刀已经碰到瓜皮了，只听“咔嚓'”一声，瓜皮裂开了，水灵灵、红红的瓜瓤就露出来了，我凑近鼻子一闻，一阵阵淡淡的瓜香扑鼻而来，我大叫起来：“好瓜，好瓜。”
奶奶把西瓜切成小船似的放在盘子里，我连忙捧了一块往嘴里塞，一口咬下去，甜丝丝的瓜汁滋润了喉咙，仿佛一股清泉在我的全身流淌，清爽爽，美滋滋的。爸爸妈妈也来了，爸爸一口就吃了大半，妈妈笑着说：“真是一只猪八戒！”我也挤到妈妈跟前大咬一口说：“我是小猪八戒。”全家人哈哈大笑。
西瓜虽然不是高贵的水果，但它在我心里是最受欢迎的。
