在职业院校落地扎根的这些非物质文化遗产项目大都是传统手工技艺类。这些非物质文化遗产项目作为职业院校的专业时间并不是太久，各种非物质文化遗产项目大师工作室在职业院校的设立同样也是最近几年的事情，专业设立或大师工作室设立时间虽晚，但非物质文化遗产项目保护成效已然显现出来：建立起了非物质文化遗产课程体系；培养了一批立足非物质文化遗产项目教学、研究的教师和管理干部；承担了省市级的非物质文化遗产项目相关课题等等。年轻的一代学子运用在职业院校学习到的传统手工技艺较好地完成了具有观赏性或实用性的作品，并被所在院校面向社会广泛宣传、展示。比如北京市工艺美术高级技工学校的传统手工技艺类专业的学生作品于2015年、2016年连续两年受邀在国家博物馆、首都博物馆展示；成立于2011年的上海工艺美术职业学院手工艺艺术研究院在抢救、挖掘、保护、开发、创新民族民间传统工艺美术，弘扬中华民族优秀传统文化方面做出了有目共睹的成绩；苏州工艺美术职业技术学院将非物质文化遗产苏州桃花坞木刻年画的传承与发展工作推进到了一个全新的阶段。
