这本书具体讲的是舅舅把外婆的钱赔了，所以，外婆只能寄宿在我家，妈妈觉得外婆很偏心，把所有的钱都给了舅舅，因而，妈妈很烦，这时，外婆的初中同学来了，告诉外婆有个地方叫做快乐老家，外婆就去了，而小作者整天在学校被人欺负，外婆带着我一起去了快乐老家，外婆在那里建造了一所蕾丝宫殿，那里有幽默风趣的唐老鸭爷爷每天叫大家起床，还有厨艺高超的七里爷爷，大家吃什么他就能够做什么，特别好吃，还有收集气味的通讯录爷爷，在快乐老家，大家都对我很好，我感到幸福和无比的快乐。通过这件事，让我收获了很多道理。
通过读这本书，我懂得了在人生的道路上，难免会有崎岖和坎坷，我们只要有坚定的信念和克服他们的勇气，大家互相帮助，互相信任，就能战胜一切困难。
