1。 头绪分明，脉络清楚
写好记叙文，首先要头绪分明，脉络清楚，明确文章要求写什么。要对所写的事件或人物进行分析，弄清事件发生、发展一直到结束的整个过程，然后再收集选取素材。这些素材都应该跟上述五个“ W ”和一个“ H ”有关。尽管不是每篇记叙文里都必须包括这些“ W ”和“ H ”，但动笔之前，围绕五个“ W ”和“ H ”进行构思是必不可少的。
2。 突出中心，详略得当
在文章的框架确定后，对支持故事的素材的选取是很关键的。选材要注意取舍，应该从表现文章主题的需要出发，分清主次，定好详略。要突出重点，详写细述那些能表现文章主题的重要情节，略写粗述那么非关键的次要情节。面面俱到反而使情节罗列化，使人不得要领。这一点是写好记叙文要解决的一个基本问题，也需要一定的技巧。如：
One night a man came to our house and told me， "There is a family with eight children。 They have not eaten for days。" I took some food with me and went。
When I finally came to that family， I saw the faces of those little children disfigured （破坏外貌） by hunger。 There was no sorrow or sadness in their faces， just the deep pain of hunger。
I gave the rice to the mother。 She divided the rice in two， and went out， carrying half the rice。 When she came back， I asked her， "Where did you go?" she gave me this simple answer， "To my neighbors — they are hungry also!"
3。 用活语言，准确生动
记叙文要用具体的事件和生动的语言对人、事、物加以叙述。一篇好的记叙文的语言既要准确、生动，又要表现力强，这样才能把人、事描写得具体生动，其可读性才强。试比较下面一篇例文修改的前后效果。
原文：
One day Xiaoqiang was wandering away。 He was soon lost among people and traffic。 He could not find the way back home and started crying。 Just then， two young students who were passing by found him standing alone in front of a shop and crying。 They went up to Xiaoqiang and asked him what had happened。 Xiaoqiang told them how he got lost and where he lived。 The two students decided to take him home。 Mother was pleased to see Xiaoqiang come back safe and sound。 She invited the two students into the house and gave them some money， but they didn＇t take it。 She served them with tea but they left。

The other day， five-year-old Xiaoqiang left home alone and wandered happily in the street。 After some time， he felt hungry so he wanted to go back home。 But he found he was lost among the crowded people and heavy traffic。 When he could not find the way home， he started and crying。 Just then， two young students who were passing by from school found him sanding crying in front of a shop。 They immediately went up to him。
"Little boy， why are you standing here crying?" they asked。
"I want Mom， I go home。" said the boy， still crying。

When the worried mother saw her son come back safe and sound， she was so thankful and she invited the students into her house。 Gratefully， she offered them some money， saying it was a way to express her thanks， but the young students firmly refused it and left without even a cup of tea。

暑假的一天，我们全家一起去山东玩。那里有波澜壮观的大海，雄伟壮观的高山，哪里的空气真是清新。一上飞机，我的心情非常激动，因为这是我第二次乘坐飞机。这次坐飞机是深夜里坐的，那飞机一会儿往左摇，一会儿往右摇，就这样我就迷迷糊糊的带到了美丽而凉爽的烟台。

前年暑假，我随父母开车来到了黄海之滨的避暑胜地——烟台。
那天傍晚，当我们车到达烟台时，便望见一幢幢色彩淡雅的小楼被她一一揽在怀中。
烟台位于山东半岛北侧，不仅濒临黄海，还有黄渤海交界线这一景观，多年来一直游人不断。这次来到烟台，我有两个愿望：一是邻略一下黄渤海交界线的雄姿，再就是能够亲眼目睹那充满色彩的海市蜃楼。
到烟台的第二天，我们去游览海内外著名的“蓬莱仙境”，相传当年八位得道仙人在此各师仙术飘摇过海，而今他们离去已久，不知我们是否还能觅到一些仙人的事迹。沿山路攀了上去，沿途的山野风光很迷人，当我想要停下脚步，仔细观赏的时候，父亲对我说：“快走吧，好风景还在后头呢!”于是，我们又继续向前攀去。
过了一座高大的牌坊，是一座座庙宇。我们走进一座高大雄伟的一殿堂，看到了仙人的塑像。庙内香火旺盛，烧香拜佛的人神色虞城，顶礼膜拜。庙宇中历代文人客的遗墨随处可见，都是赞颂仙人，功德的文字。望着一座座高大的神像，读着一行行颇具神颂的诗文，我也有些飘然欲仙了，竟久久不想离去。
我以为这就“”蓬莱仙境”的绝好景观了，然而父母告诉我，在这座山的最高峰上，有一座“水城”。
登上水城，我发现从这里可以看到大海。我急忙远眺天边，寻觅我盼望见到的海市蜃楼和黄渤海交界线。可惜没有看到海市蜃楼，想来也是，有一人在海边等了20xx年才等到一次海市蜃楼，这哪是我这么容易见到的。但我看到层层铅云在天海之间前冲，变化出无穷的形态。这时不禁想起了曹操《观沧海》中的诗句：“山岛竦峙”“百草丰茂”“洪波涌起”……这时候，我忽然觉得先前看到的那些景观都不足称道，唯有眼前这种景象才是真正壮美的景观。
我忽然陷入沉思：人间的美景数不胜数，在寻访美景的路上，我们常为眼前的景色陶醉，因而不愿离去，岂不知，前面还有更美好的景观。
