记得几个星期前爸爸刚旅游回来就又跑了出去，连杯水都没顾得上喝。我在窗前望着爸爸的背影，只见他开着车一溜烟跑了，要知道我家虽说有车但可不经常开，除非遇到什么重大场合或者有急事的时候才开，到底什么事？我一边想着爸爸出去干什么，一边耐心的等待。时间一分一秒的过去，“叮咚，叮咚”爸爸我连忙跑去开门，只见他满头大汗，但嘴里还喊着：“拿到了，拿到了！”什么拿到了，难道爸爸帮我买了份礼物，要知道今天可我的生日，我心里正美滋滋的想着。这时妈妈走了过来从爸爸手上接过几把钥匙说：“终于拿到了。”原来新房的钥匙，真扫兴，虽不给我的礼物，但我也还凑上去拿了一把，激动的看着，爱不释手。终于改换房了，我家那房已经住了五年之久。真的！

我的爷爷家在浙江省嘉兴市嘉善县西塘古镇，西塘是一座已有千年历史文化的古镇。
一直以来，我只知道西塘古镇有名，不知道我爷爷的老房子也是不简单。有一天，我跟着爷爷一起去鲁镇纪念馆，在那边参观时，居然发现里面挂有爷爷家的老房子照片。
爷爷家的老房子，距今有一百多年了，属于明清建筑。老房子占地面积有近400平米，坐北朝南，呈长方形四合院布局，有朝门、大天井、正门、小天井，大小房屋12间，两侧间数面积对称。各屋的间隔都是使用木板，屋顶四合屋脊均起端檐垛脊，不过因年数久了，有些损坏的地方后来是爷爷自己用水泥补的。
从正门进去，里面又是一个独立的小四合院，四周围墙上砌着很好看的图案，两边还不重复的。
老房子最吸引我的还是位于朝门内泡桐树下的那口水井。夏天，井打出来的水，洗脸，洗手，凉凉的，特爽。冬天，井里的水温，有20多度。听爷爷说，井水因甘平无毒，还可以用于止呢。
我喜欢爷爷家的老房子。
