地震，是天灾的一种，是地球的.内部运动造成的。给人类带来了许多灾害。地震可能会因为未及时熄灭火源、燃气泄露、电线短路等而导致火灾的发生，还会造成山崩、滑坡，从而引起洪灾，如果是毁灭性地震，会使房屋倒塌，遭到毁灭性的破坏。最重要的还是地震会造成人员的大量亡，1558年陕西省华县大地震亡人口83万人，汶川大地震也造成人员伤亡24、4万人，人员的大量伤亡使家属们、地震中侥幸存活者的心灵受到了巨大的创伤，也许一辈子都会生活在地震的阴影之中。我们很难想象，当一个在地震中失去了双腿的女孩，又在地震中失去了所有亲人，那她以后的人生路该怎么走?康复以后她怎么鼓起勇气面对生活?地震带给她的不仅仅是病痛的折磨，还有心灵上的重重一击，所以，我们应该采取有效的防护措施，以确保生命安全。地震时不要慌张，应该按指挥紧急疏通，做到效率高而快，尽量跑到空旷场所，这样不易被房屋压到。最重要的'是保持体力，不要大喊大叫，用石块敲击等方法告诉他人自己的所在位置。如果被压在下面，应保持冷静，设法自救，用湿毛巾捂住口鼻，防止烟尘呛闷。同时要设法避免上方可能压下来的重物，以免在余震中发生危险。
地震给人们带来的只有不幸，虽然我的家乡从来没有发生过一次毁灭性的地震，让我们不必为地震的发生而心惊胆寒。但是，中国有23条地震带，每时每刻都有可能发生地震，所以，我们仍应学习关于地震的知识。天灾是不可避免的，但团结的力量是强大的，让全中国人携起手来，“防震减灾”，让祖国的明天更加灿烂辉煌!
